As I sit here tonight, all I can think about is just how thankful I am. When I first went to the doctor, we talked about my procedure and what my sports career might look like moving forward. I asked if I would be able to play volleyball, and I was told there was a possibility but probably no way I would be ready in time and that I would probably never serve a volleyball again. Volleyball has become something I love and hearing those words really hurt me mentally. I was determined and had my hopes to be ready in 4 months but when that time came I still didn’t have my extension back. This was the moment I realized I needed to appreciate the waters I was in. I had been so focused on where I wanted to be that I wasn’t taking the time to really appreciate how far God had already brought me. I had to learn to Trust His timing instead of my own and remind myself that just because something wasn’t going the way I had hoped for, doesn’t mean he wasn’t working. I kept working hard in rehab and doing things at home even on the days I felt tired, frustrated, and/or discouraged. Little by little I started seeing progress, whether that was getting in the hyperextension or just feeling stronger. Here I am today back to playing volleyball, enjoying something I love, and doing it with some of the best girls. And YES I am able to serve a volleyball again still just as hard. I am just so thankful. Thank you to everyone who has prayed, encouraged, and been by my side through this journey.

Beyond blessed to announce that I will be continuing my academic and basketball career at Greenville University! 🧡🖤

I’m so thankful for everyone who has supported me, believed in me, and helped me get to this point. Most importantly, I’m thankful to God for giving me this opportunity and guiding me every step of the way.

As I wrote the date, 8/18/26, on my paper today, I realized it was the 18th. My Papaw passed away on December 18th, two years ago. In that moment, I couldn’t help but feel like he was there, cheering me on and reminding me that he’s still with me in all the moments that matter most.
