5 months ago, I entered eating disorder treatment unsure if I would ever get to experience moments like these again. I had spent so long fighting my own mind that I almost forgot what it felt like to be excited about being alive.
Now, I get to stand at a finish line and celebrate much more than a race. I get to celebrate the life I fought so hard to keep, choosing to stay, choosing recovery when I couldn’t see a future. I am enough just as I am.
Recovery is not linear, asking for help is not weakness. Mental health deserves to be talked about. No one should have to fight it alone.
You are worth fighting for, even on the days that you can’t see it for yourself. Your story is not over.
