She doesn’t want surface level anything. She doesn’t understand that. She wants to know where you came from, how you got here, why you chose those decisions.She wants to know the moments where you felt the most joy and shed the biggest tears. Where your heart felt like it was in your stomach and you thought the pain wouldn’t ever end. The places you find beautiful and the ones that make you uneasy. The heart breaks, the heart menders, the life bringers and fun-suckers. She wants to know your relationship with your family, how you were raised- the roles you took on in life because of the experiences you’ve had. She wants to see you on your bad days and not just the good ones. How to support you when you can’t do it and how to enhance when you can. Who you call when your sad, who you call when you’re happy- Where does your mind,body, heart go to when you daydream?She wants to know how you formed your views- not just in politics but relationships and human roles. How you get scared or how you feel uplifted. She wants to know your go-to order at a new coffee shop and the staples you buy just to get by. Life’s adventures give us experiences- our favorite and least favorite stories. She wants to know if when it rains, do you jump into puddles or avoid them? If the leaves are falling, do you wave them away or dance in the psitherism of nature. She wants to know your favorite color and 3 deep reasons why. Life is too damn short for minuscule hi’s and goodbye’s. Give her “Oh my goodness it’s so good to see you’s” heartfelt hellos and sad, loving goodbyes. Hugs that can be felt for days after and laughs that leave imprints on her face and in her heart. There is No room for surface level here. Give me the whole, deep ocean of YOU. by @hailstormz

2025 was extremely challenging. It started with these 2 -Trina and Lisa- and will most likely end with them too. Someone who I thought was the love of my life taught me incredibly hard lessons and ended our relationship which left me broken and lost. My girlfriends picked up those pieces of me and put me back together better than I ever could have done. My relationships with them got closer and stronger, we drank a lot of coffee. My river dog friends filled a void in me I didn’t know existed. From their river and lake adventures to the fire pits and laughs. Angela taught me how to say “it’s okay” to shitty coffee and never go back to a bad coffee shop- with style and was always down for a paddle workout! My bestie Kenny came out and enjoyed some fishing and rock concert on an island and made friends with everyone. I made my first butternut squash soup- watched a lot of paintball, went to the gym way more than I ever have. I cried a lot. I also laughed a lot. I went without hugs for the longest time ever in my life and realized I never wanna take any hugs for granted because 2 months is too long. My daddy and step momma got married after being together for 25 years and I got to see all my sisters in one place for the first time in 10 years.My girls held me up this year more times than I can count and without a doubt I know I’ll have these friendships for life. Happy new year kids- don’t get too crazy, and remember to continue being the badasses you are and bring that whimsical energy into the new year! ✌🏽 See you soon Colorado.
