“Ugly websites convert better.” It sounds counterintuitive, but most people miss what’s really going on behind it. I’ve seen that idea shared in a few LinkedIn posts and YouTube videos. In one of my recent posts, I shared a wellness business owner asking for feedback on her website that looked great on the surface, clean layout, cohesive color palette, beautiful product photos, but sales weren’t moving as she expected. That seems to prove that they were right: “See? That’s why ugly websites convert better.” It’s easy to find cluttered or outdated wellness websites of herbal shops, acupuncture studios, and small local brands. Whenever I land on one, my first instinct is to close the tab. I even started bookmarking them, and there were so many that I lost count. Health and wellness only became trendy in the past decade, when it turned from a niche interest into a mainstream lifestyle. Many of these businesses built their websites back when simply having one was enough. They’ve stayed alive through word of mouth, loyal clients, and community trust. So yes, if you’re a plumber, electrician, or auto shop, you don’t need a website that looks like a fashion magazine. Your customers just need to find you, trust you, and contact you easily. Function beats form. But clarity and organization always help. But that’s not true for every business. If you run a yoga studio, an organic skincare brand, or a fashion label, your design is part of the product and service. People buy based on how it makes them feel. A beautiful website without a strategy won’t take you very far. But if your website still looks like it hasn’t changed since the 90s, it sends the wrong message. Your audience values design, care, and quality; they expect your brand to reflect that. You’re not just selling something they need; you’re inviting them into a lifestyle they aspire to. Design isn’t decoration. It’s your brand’s first impression. If your website looks outdated or off-brand, send me your link. I’d be happy to discuss what could elevate it. #wellnessbusiness #healthbusiness #wellnesswebsite #websitedesign by @haisi_safflora
I redesigned a real estate website that gave me some valuable insights I still carry into my projects today. The client’s mission was clear: support first-time homebuyers and reflect a sense of community. That became the foundation of the design. What stood out to me most: ✨ Keeping the layout approachable and uncluttered so visitors don’t feel lost. ✨ Making the content flow clear and simple, guiding people step by step. ✨ Showing that design isn’t only about how a site looks, it’s about how it supports a client’s bigger goals. Even though most of my work centers on wellness and sustainable brands, this project reminded me that every industry has an emotional story to tell. In real estate, it’s about belonging. 👉 When you visit a real estate site, what’s the first thing you look for? by @haisi_safflora
Your posts might look beautiful, but do they look like your brand? I’ve been noticing more and more social media posts on Instagram that look polished and eye-catching. But often the styles vary so much on the same account page that it becomes hard to recognize the brand behind them. With tools like Canva or AI, it’s easier than ever to create content. The harder part is making it feel aligned and consistent with your brand. For my project Althorya, I explored how a social system could bring services, products, quotes, giveaways, and more together, while still feeling like one brand. Different types of content, but always connected. If you’re building a wellness or lifestyle brand, I’d be glad to chat about creating a system like this for you. by @haisi_safflora
When I worked on my Althorya project, I ran into a problem. I couldn’t find background images that really matched my product. Everything I saw was just random, pretty pictures with no connection to the products I created. So I made my own. I created an AI prompt that builds backgrounds using the real ingredients in the product, so the images actually tell the product’s story. Here’s an example for a jasmine + squalane hand cream: 🌼 Jasmine flower for the scent 🫒 A larger oil drop for the squalane 💧 Small water drops symbolize the moisture effect of the cream. Even if you’re not a designer, you can use this to: ✓ Make your product the star of the photo ✓ Give it a clean, high-quality look ✓ Show ingredients without spending time or money to collect them. If you want to try it, I’m sharing the exact prompt (with instructions) for free. 💬 Comment PROMPT and I’ll send it to you. #wellnessbusiness #wellnessbrand #skincarebrand #aiprompt by @haisi_safflora
Struggling to turn visitors into clients on your wellness website? You might be making one of these 3 common homepage mistakes, and not even know it. I just shared a concept site I created for a holistic wellness brand, and here’s what I did differently to keep visitors engaged (and clicking). 🧘‍♀️ Clear messaging 🛍️ Easy navigation 📱 Skimmable, scroll-worthy design Swipe through to see what to change on your own site, and how to make it work better for your wellness business. ✨ Save this if you're building or updating your brand website 💬 Drop a comment if this hit home 💡 Need help creating a calm, strategic site that reflects your brand? I design wellness websites that connect, and convert. You can have the best wellness treatments in the world, but if your website doesn’t speak to real struggles, it won’t connect. That’s why I designed this homepage around what women actually bring into wellness spaces: stress, burnout, uncertainty. Not model shots. Not generic slogans. Just real women, real language, real needs. Every scroll answers a deeper question: 💬 “Am I safe here?” 💬 “Do they get what I’m going through?” The result? A site that doesn’t just look good, it makes people feel understood. That’s the difference. 📩 Want a site that connects like this? DM me. #healthbusiness #wellnessbranding by @haisi_safflora
What should a wellness logo feel like? For Althorya, I didn’t just want something elegant; it had to reflect the brand’s experience: calm, grounded, and deeply feminine. I started with the serif “The Season”, then customized key letters to bring softness, flow, and just a hint of organic detail. Every curve is intentional. From the softened spacing... To the subtle leaf-like form at the tail of the “y.” Not decorative. Not cliché. Just enough to express natural care quietly. The logo isn’t just about it looks. It’s about how it makes you feel. — More from the Althorya brand system coming soon 🌿. #wellnessdesign #wellnessbranding #herbalbusiness by @haisi_safflora
Designing a wellness brand is never just about pretty fonts. It’s about how it feels, to the women it's built for. Althorya is a self-initiated concept I created for a holistic wellness studio. From the name to the logo, colors, and typefaces, every element was chosen to express calm, trust, and quiet confidence. Not clinical. Not earthy. Something more intentional, soft neutrals, muted mauves, olive accents, and a deep slate that grounds it all. Built for women with full lives, the kind who crave space to reset, and want brands that feel aligned, not generic. It’s more than a logo. It’s a whole experience. And I’ll be sharing more of it in this series. If you’re looking for branding that feels intentional and emotionally aligned, let’s talk. by @haisi_safflora
I’ve been experimenting with AI-generated backgrounds as a way to style and showcase my packaging mockups for a wellness studio concept I’ve been working on. Instead of using stock photos, I wanted to create something more intentional: calming tones, botanical ingredients, and a mood that reflects the heart of the brand. This process helped me think more creatively about how product styling supports brand positioning, even without a studio or a full photoshoot. I’ll share more soon about the brand story, the packaging design, and what I learned along the way. It’s Earth Day today 🌍 A moment when people around the world pause to appreciate and protect the planet we call home. But Earth Day isn’t just about one day—April is Earth Month, so there’s still time to do something good for the planet, big or small. Have you done anything to celebrate Earth Day this year? #earthday #wellness #healthylifestyle #sustainability by @haisi_safflora
🌍💚 Did you know Earth Day is coming up on April 22? It’s the perfect time to reflect on how we can all contribute to a more sustainable future. Even small shifts - reducing waste, choosing eco-friendly products, or supporting green initiatives can make a real difference. Businesses play a key part in this, too. Launching sustainable packaging, improving operations, or encouraging conscious choices can spark bigger change. Action speaks louder than intention and often inspires others to do the same. How are you celebrating Earth Month this year? I’d love to hear your ideas. 🌍💚 #EarthMonth #Sustainability #GreenBusiness #EcoFriendly #SaveThePlanet #April by @haisi_safflora
