Snoochie Boochies Mother Huggers, look who’s on the pipeline this week! Actor, filmmaker, and kickass skateboarder, Jason Lee is coming to Hal-Con 2026! Probably best known for portraying Banky Edwards, Brodie Bruce, and demon Azrael in several Kevin Smith movies, he is also Earl Hickey himself in the titular titled My Name is Earl. Please welcome Syndrome himself and get BIZZAY buying tickets when they go on sale June 19th! #HalCon2026 by @halcon_scificon
If you ladies are done chattering, it's time to announce our next guest! Chanse McCrary is a Los Angeles–based multi-hyphenate (love this) redefining what it means to be a modern comedian. Since joining Smosh as an official cast member in August 2022 , Chanse has helped lead one of the internet’s most iconic comedy brands—boasting over 26 million subscribers and a long-standing reputation as one of YouTube’s top comedy channels. Most recently, Chanse wrote, directed, and starred in a musical adaptation of Hitch (yes, THAT Hitch), demonstrating his range as a creator and performer while selling out three consecutive nights at the Dynasty Typewriter (check out their VOD content, it's top shelf). The project reflects his signature creative voice, which is bold, satirical, and unafraid to push boundaries. With a background with the UCB (Upright Citizen's Brigade), there was never a doubt of his insane AND insanely good talent. We can't wait to have him this fall! And you better be nice, because he used to sleep with a katana and bo staff next to his bed, and practice seeing how fast he could jump out of bed and equip them ... Chanse'll getcha! #HalCon2026 by @halcon_scificon
Is the weather getting a little … Hoa Hoa Hoa out there? Gracing us with his immortal presence, Jackson Rathbone will be coming to Hal-Con 2026, which is great because he hasn’t been on the east coast since Hal-Con 1863. Perhaps best known for his role in Twilight, Jasper Hale combines all the excitement of not smiling, with the thrill of just standing there. But it doesn’t stop there. A powerhouse actor, the man also produced and starred in Aim High, and has headlined acclaimed indie films like Do Not Reply and The Wall of Mexico. Not to mention his band 100 Monkeys which he tours with internationally … do you think 100 monkeys could have beaten the Volturi? Please help welcome this true renaissance man to Halifax all weekend … and remember, make sure your baseball bats pass security check, because we’re ready to PLAY BALL. #HalCon2026 by @halcon_scificon
Look to your left, look to your right. See all the stuff you don't have done yet? STOP MESSING AROUND. It's time to get all up in the sauce and get those last minute things handled! Cosplays? CRUNCH. Laundry? Wash it! Packing? Stuff it in! There's probably a dozen other things we have to do, and this is your reminder that after sleeping, eating, and taking care of yourself, take care of your tasks! 72 hours remain. #HalCon2026 by @halcon_scificon

"Meet Kenzie, a cosplayer who has been bringing characters to life since 2017! She loves taking on a challenge and pushing the boundaries of what seems possible, using sewing, detailed craftsmanship, and intricate embellishments to turn a character’s design into reality. For Kenzie, cosplay is all about creativity, learning new skills, and seeing just how far she can push her craft. She’s excited to continue challenging herself and sharing her love for cosplay with the community. Always with her Maltese, Winston, nearby to supervise her creations!" #HalCon2026 by @halcon_scificon

"Julia has been sewing since she was 5. Her grandmother, obsessed with Project Runway encouraged her to learn to sew from a young age. vShe started making historical costumes is 2018 and moved on to cosplay in 2023. The same year, she entered her first cosplay contest at Halcon and placed second in the Artisan category. In the following years she hosted some informational panels at Animartime about incorporating elements of historical fashion into cosplay. In all of her cosplays she uses historical fashion techniques as the foundation. Her love of history, fashion and cosplay all come together in her work as she showcases a variety of needlework skills; from corsetry to embroidery to crochet." #HalCon2026 by @halcon_scificon
