Old school gramophone for Ayana ❤️ We met years ago playing in @stonewallsportsrva adult kickball league 🌈 I was terrible but it was a lot of fun! 😅 Always means a lot when an old friend trusts me to tattoo them. 🥹

A quick face pic to say hi and reinvigorate my sleepy grid after returning from my 8-day trip to Andalucía, Spain 🇪🇸👋

Many more pics, content, and illustrations to come… after I get my phone back in the mail. Yes, I left my phone in Málaga, along with all my tattoo and travel content 😅 I guess it needed a vacation extension.

Just taking a moment to say I love my job and I’m so grateful for all tattooing has given me: independence, confidence, friendships, daily creative practice, meeting strangers every day and getting a little closer with them each session… ya really can’t beat it! 🩶

The Hales who was once miserable teaching and then working a corporate office job couldn’t have imagined a life so rewarding as this 😁 Thank you to everyone who has sat in my chair and made it possible. And to the other tattooers who have shared their tips and tricks along the way.

Three magnolia blossoms for Leah, I did a teeny tiny tree on her a few months back and had the honor of doing her biggest tattoo to date. 🌸 Leah wanted one central bloom and two smaller to represent herself and her two daughters. ❣️

Magnolias are one of my favorite flowers, having spent so much time in the South. The smell always reminds me of summer, I’ll never get tired of it 😌

Lily of the valley + sparrow for Skyler done back in July. 🥀 Skyler came in with an odd gap that she wanted to fill, and knew that she wanted a sparrow and flowers.

When she arrived in person, I had a look at the gap and told her I’d be doing a lot of drawing on in order to get something that complimented the space and her anatomy. She was totally trusting and patient while we worked together to build a good flow. There’s an in-process shot of the free handing at the end if you’d like to have a peek. Always down do doodle on ya. ☺️
