we’ve always wanted to make a little 3d toy, so we finally put our skills tgt and made this guy: “hello, i’m an adult”

inspired by those mornings when you wake up feeling a bit 🫠 but your inbox is already full and that work call isn’t gonna take itself. so you paint on a smile, put a box on your head and do your best impression of a functioning adult.

this was a proper tag team project with our fav tools — from sketching on the iPad Air to figuring out the shapes in Fusion 360 on my MacBook Air, then watching our little guy come to life on the Bambu Lab A1.

the printing was the easy part. the sanding… we don’t talk about the sanding 🥲 a little paint later, and here he is. just a little guy trying his best, like the rest of us.

tiger is now singaPAWRean 🇸🇬. our usual national day tradition, but now with the lil guy. managed to get him to stay in our arms to take the whole pledge. please forgive our overly passionate but off pitch singing to our fav ndp anthems 🫣

I’ll admit I still rehearse my order before approaching the counter. Especially when I’m ordering for a friend.

Uncle & auntie here are possibly the nicest hawkers I’ve ever met. All smiles and high energy. Even after over 50 years of operating the stall. Their drinks are *chef’s kiss and they slice their toasts thin for that glorious butter-bread ratio. @zhengmingchashi Thanks uncle for letting me hover over you and making me laugh.

Nothing beats coming home to the good old kaya toast set, eggs and all. 🇸🇬 Especially with pals @half.baked.home.
