Last drop 💧Recital by Magalí Camps

Recital proposes ways dance can be thought-through – with its many meanings and implications. Taking the form of a reading, the work attends to the thinking that upsurges within dance as much as it alludes to what and how we think about dance ourselves.

«I start spinning, not literally, but as part of an onstage counterclockwise spinning vortex that only I seem to perceive. I am a speck, a dot, a flake, endlessly spiralling toward the centre of the stage and absolutely no one can possibly identify me as such. Then my arms in relation to my torso feel wider, and I firmly maintain the role of the choreographer, overseeing the particularities of my path, the travelling and spatial choices, without becoming too artistic.»

Magalí Camps (she/her) is a Catalan dancer and choreographer based between Copenhagen and Barcelona. Graduated from the Danish National School of Performing Arts with a BFA in Dance and Choreography (2022), she has worked with Cullberg and the associated choreographers Halla Ólafsdóttir, Jefta van Dinther as well as Jeanine Durning. As a dancer, she has performed in works by Alma Söderberg, Doris Uhlich, Francesco Scavetta, Joana Öhlschläger, Ingri Fiksdal, amongst others. Her artistic work in dance revolves around the convergence of language, writing and singing. In 2020, she co-founded La Verema, an association with whom she produces the festival L’ARREPLEGADA in Celrà.

First artist drop 💧

«Even____Knows is a new musical project based in Copenhagen, formed by three good friends. This evening, a duo setup will perform a more stripped-down version of the project.

The music consists of playful and experimental compositions that have emerged through the process of working together. Inspired by the sounds of the 80s synthesizers, samples, and processed vocals, the music brings together different sides of the band’s personalities, creating a playful and experimenting sound.

H.O.T (Half Of Things) is a newly established artistic collective consisting of 8 dance artists in Copenhagen. The collective aspires to engage in the production of artistic work, hosting workshops and events, whilst supporting each other’s artistic practises and working conditions. H.O.T. functions as a crucial collegial platform that fosters exchange, exploration, and the development of contemporary performance practices. by @half.of.things
