How does it feel to bring social media into one of the most comforting places we have: our beds? Infinite Scroll, my installation for SENSORIUM, explores that strange little habit of turning our most intimate space into a place of scroll & comparison. Come lie in my bed and experience some existential dread. SENSORIUM opens 10/23 (this Friday) at @base.camp.studios (Yes, I'm aware of the irony of posting this on Instagram.) by @half_cat_half_pizza

Recently, I got into a discussion about AI and creativity, so I decided to share more of my photography process. This 70-inch-tall piece I created for a commercial client features the gorgeous @annahkd 🩷 Swipe for the very tedious, “why are you doing this to yourself?” behind-the-scenes. Yes, I photograph every piece separately and then layer them together, because maybe I’m more of a collage artist than a photographer. Could AI do it? Probably. But I really, really enjoy this process. The making is the point. I enjoy creating. That’s why I create. ok thanks for coming to my TED talk! by @half_cat_half_pizza

SENSORIUM brings together artists whose work engages the senses, memory, connection, and the body, inviting us back into the experience of being human. Meet three of the artists participating in SENSORIUM: NADIA AHMED Nadia Ahmed is a Pakistani-American interdisciplinary artist. Nadia’s practice explores how we process grief, deal with generational trauma, and express connection. She is drawn to familiar materials like beeswax, text, and hair, questioning how the value of something changes depending on where or how it exists. Something valuable that Nadia gets from her practice is a chance to connect with people in an exposed and intimate way. NAHOM GHIRMAY Nahom Ghirmay is a Seattle-based artist born in Asmara, Eritrea. His work explores the emotional landscapes of identity, memory, and belonging, often reflecting on the immigrant experience and the evolving notion of home. Drawing on personal history and the stories of those around him, Nahom uses expression, gesture, and painterly style to evoke mood and invite reflection.  MAAYAN HAIM Maayan Haim is a Seattle-based artist and designer whose work explores the experiences that connect us. Through humor, playfulness, and familiar objects, they transform everyday materials into playful installations, sculptures, and interactive works that invite viewers to reflect on the shared complexities of being human. Drawing from personal memories, their practice balances vulnerability with absurdity and encourages conversation and connection.  SENSORIUM opens 10/23 together with Fractured
Gallery hours, Sundays 12-4pm

I love the version of me I’m becoming. A little rope carousel to say hello to fall. Season changes always get me emotional (in the best possible way) Slide 1 - White Center block party with @misfitstrengthstudio 🩷 Slide 2 - Demo night at my third place @newmoon.movementarts by @half_cat_half_pizza
Om nom nom nom… the delicious taste of comparing myself to other people. The mental loops, the “everyone has it figured out except me.” the occasional “what am I even doing with my life?” For the opening of Inconvenient Store, I decided to confront an inconvenient truth: I compare myself. A lot. Turns out putting your insecurities on a cereal box is surprisingly therapeutic 😂 Come check out my new cereal series at @inconvenience_store_art at 8/28 as part of @seattledowntownartwalk by @half_cat_half_pizza
Well, for many reasons I debated whether I should post these photos, one of them being that *awful* reflection. 😂 Y'all, I promise the window looks so much better IRL But I wanted to share it because this window isn't really about the photos. It's about honoring the people and places that inspired it: the circus (@newmoon.movementarts , @acrobaticconundrum ) and my grandpa. "Circus Flowers" is a celebration of strength, resilience, and community, a reminder that beauty and strength can exist together. 💛 Swing by 5th and Pike to view blooms float on invisible threads. Many many many thanks to my partner who did so much work behind the scenes to create the magic of invisible suspension, and to Inna, Yaara and Debra for the mental support 🩷 by @half_cat_half_pizza
Giant scrappy pancakes are now served 🥞 My first large-scale installation is officially up! It pushed me in every possible way, from figuring things out as I went to a couple of full-on mental breakdowns. I loved every minute of it! If you're around, stop by @thespacecolumbiacity tonight! For opening night for Breakfast for dinner! ✨ Where you can see scrappy pancakes along with other beautiful and less scrappy work. Swipe to see a little behind-the-scenes of the process. by @half_cat_half_pizza
Happy fucking birthday @base.camp.studios🎂 When I thought about inspo for the poster wall I started thinking: what are the greatest words in the English language? MORE CAKE. Come see my poster wall as part of BaseCamp's 4 Letter Word show tonight as part of @belltownartwalk And while we're at it, a few other excellent 4-letter words: Nick. Paul. Elle. Y'all are the best. ❤️ by @half_cat_half_pizza
