Started out building a wire frame buck from 1/8 tig filler rod. Then made a paper pattern to give me a road map to shape this tunnel. But things didn’t go as planned because I needed to shrink a lot at the pinch point where the tunnel starts to go back. Photo dump over past couple weeks of work on the 37 Dodge truck. Seems like every where I cut I find more rotten metal. Eventually the back half of the cab will more than likely have to come off so I can get everything out from in between the structure and skin. Would hate to spend all this time and money building something for it to rust away from the inside. I’ve seen way worse! Pulled out the interior expecting to find all kinds of rust and rot, but overall not to bad. Definitely needs a full restoration for my standards but extremely happy with the condition so far. Motor is not seized! Was able to use brake clean and fire truck to reseat the front tires and front wheels turn, but the back is locked up still. So next I will pressure wash the inside cause still smells like rat piss a little, pressure wash all the interior and then put it up on the lift and figure out the rearend then, clean carbs and see if we can get it to fire!#customcar #customcars #triumph #classiccarspotting #tr3 by @halfacre_fabrication
