Bob Bellerue is a sound artist, experimental musician, sound/video curator, and A/V technician based in Ridgewood NY. Over the last 35+ years he has been involved in creating and producing a wide range of sonic activities – experimental music, sound art, junk metal percussion, soundtracks for dance/ theater/ video/ performance art, Balinese gamelan, and sound / video installations. Bob’s sound work is based in improvised free-noise within multidimensional feedback systems, using amplified instruments, objects, decontextualized field recordings, and resonant spaces, processed by electronics and software written in the Supercollider audio synthesis programming language.

After Pajamas
Bob Bellerue, Patrick Holmes, Mark Howell, Cheryl Kingan, David Watson.
After Pajamas takes its starting point from Wooden Pajamas, Gordon Mumma’s 1973 homage to Salvadore Allende. It is an extraordinary piece - the gallows humour of the title refers to a coffin.
I don't think it was ever performed much but you can hear a great extract on Lovely Music. For this reworked version, we are taking the opportunity as a group to dive into the darkness of this present moment.

with Aliya Ultan solo, &
Ashcan Orchestra

This is our second-to-last show before we turn the lights out.

MONDAY 8:0pm OCTOBER 12th $15 After Pajamas (Bob Bellerue, Cheryl Kingan, Patrick Holmes, Mark Howell, & David Watson) "They'll have to take me out of here in wooden pajamas." was the statement by Salvador Allende, which inspired Gordon Mumma's Wooden Pajamas. And now we are being inspired by that. Aliya Ultan solo Described as a shape-shifting voice moving between orchestral lyricism, cathartic noise, and deeply personal forms of storytelling. Ashcan Orchestra Ashcan has been developing a musical language to examine and exemplify our shared capacity to create and thrive in spaces parallel to the consumer cult. Two shows before lights out! https://pools.events/t/1vyw1tmw or door DM for exact location We are 5 mins walk from Queens Plaza, in LIC. Obliterated by love, humbled and electrified by this outrageously fun night with soooo many friends. Endless thanks and love to Katie and Jackson for planning this night for months, and the dozens of people who kept the secret for all that time (despite my attempts to book a show on the same night lol). I was truly stunned and wish I had taken a photo of everyone who was there when the surprise was revealed, and I still didn’t see the banner or Halfnormal dinosaur stickers until later when the shock wore off. It was truly incredible to have old friends from the early 90s mixing with my homies in the present era. I dedicated my karaoke offering (Halloween by Dead Kennedys) to the Laguna Beach High School Class of 1986 - not gonna make the reunion again this year. I stuck a finger in the nostril of my picture on my cake to see if I was dreaming. Thanks to everyone who came, and to Freddy’s - which is where Katie and I reconnected 4 years ago and started playing music together, and the love that followed. “Freddy’s is for lovers”

All this is at the end of 5 days of fun and bliss with my bestie, Lady QC Katie Porter. Nothing beats having someone beautiful in your life to dance to Black Sabbath with, who knows your lunch order after riding the Cyclone (2 corn dogs and a lobster roll), gets your best friend to fly out from Michigan for happy-hour oysters, and knows how to throw a party for you and your friends. Thank you to my dearest KP by @halfnormal
