Hit the 3peat. This one was on a 40g diamond jig, gave me a run for my money. Measuring in at 15lbs, 37” to the fork and 40” total, a true mercury missle. @starrods @vanstaalofficial Happy Birthday to me. by @halfshelloutdoors

My partner gifted me this cutting board almost a year ago now so I thought it would be fun to make a bit of a record of some of the fish it has held. This one is formatted from smallest to biggest. We have Bonita, Flounder, Blue Runner, Spanish Mackerel, Mahi, and yesterday’s King. Kind of a fun object to provide for scale. by @halfshelloutdoors

Well, we finally did it. After a couple years of no luck, shitty weather, and belligerent crowds, we have finally crossed the King Mackerel (Scomberomorus cavalla) off the list. Land-based, on a yo-zuri plug. Feels unreal. by @halfshelloutdoors

Creatureposting. The mackerel photo is from the night that I hooked my first king and then popped it off ten feet from the pier like a moron. Oh and Florida is beautiful but stop coming here if you’re not going to respect and take care of it. by @halfshelloutdoors
