Why is mastering so important?

Having another set of trained ears on a project can take your project to the next level.

Getting on a playlist is awesome—getting a new listener to save your song and throw it on their own playlist is the next step. taken in Nashville, Tennessee by @halliemeltonmastering

Hi! Thanks for stopping by! This is an important post for me, so thanks for reading this far. I don’t always make a lot of posts about what I do; self-promotion has never been my strong suit and I’m not awesome at social media.

I’m a mastering engineer. I love what I do. This year I’ve been lucky enough to work on some records I think are incredible and I’ve also been fortunate enough that some of those records were made by my friends.

I’m going to try to start sharing some of those; I’m proud of what I do and I want to keep doing it.

I’m very reachable to work on masters via my link in bio. There’s a cool little button on my website that says “work with me” and if you click it, it’ll take you to a submission form. 😊 thanks for being here. taken in Nashville, Tennessee by @halliemeltonmastering

Next up on recent releases:

Kalie Shorr - Evolution

Kalie is a modern day Y2K nostalgia queen. I am always amazed at how vulnerable her songs tend to be and was so excited to work on this one; I mean, look at the album cover, nostalgia QUEEN.
Mixed by @duganchris
Produced by @butchwalker

Leanna Firestone - The Answer

The whole album was mixed by @carobaesucks and featured some great producers as well:
@mattparad Victory Lap
@mjmatta Get Help
@wesleyxhenry Confirmation Bias & Judas
@carobaesucks BFNBFU & Renaissance
@bryemusic Not Yet, Town Ain’t Big Enough & The Answer
@gleyzeddonut Emergency Contact

James Bruner - Can’t Keep Wanting You

James has an incredible energy and this song is a banger. Produced by the talented @shaneweisman & mixed by the great @randallkent. Stoked about this project and excited to see more from James!!

So many releases lately I can’t fit them all into one post! I’ve been so lucky to work with friends & on projects I’m stoked about. Here are a few I’d love to share:

Boy Bandicoot - Mulligan

I’ve had the honor to master the majority of the music Avery has released so far and my mind stays blown with everything that comes my way. Always stoked to work with @alexandrehirlinger mixing as well. @avery.benter, I love you, thank you for trusting me with your whole freakin record. Released by @arcadelegacyrecords on vinyl and cassette as well 🤯 (yes I do vinyl masters!!)

Carobae - Turn Yourself Around

I feel like I say it over and over again, but I love working with Caro. Be it projects she produces or mixes or writes or performs or a combo of any of the four, everything makes me excited. Always stoked when a new Carobae song comes out. @carobaesucks mixed, produced.

Leanna Firestone - Victory Lap

I’ll be making another post about Leanna’s whole ass RECORD that came out last week, but I want to make sure I feature this dope single on its own as well. Leanna is a baddie and I love her music. Produced by @mattparad, mixed by Carobae

Madeline Sweeney - Hard To Read

Was super duper stoked this one came out last week as well. I’ve been playing Chlorine on repeat since it was released as a single. Produced and mixed by @andy_cata

🫶🏻 thanks everyone for reading, go give these a listen! taken in Nashville, Tennessee by @halliemeltonmastering

Perma by Bershy

This song feels like sticking your hands out the window while you’re driving around Glendale or maybe that’s just because I had it on repeat the day it came out

Produced by @thebershy & @coranstetter
Mixed by @kyle.e.kubiak
