The easiest little Halloween mummies! 👻

A cute, no-bake Halloween treat that’s perfect for classroom parties, school snacks, or a little after-school surprise. Just 3 ingredients and about 15 minutes!

What you’ll need:

* 1 package Keebler Vienna Fingers vanilla sandwich cookies
* 1 cup white chocolate melting wafers
* Candy googly eyes

How to make them:

1. Lay your Vienna Fingers on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
2. Melt the white chocolate according to package directions.
3. Spoon the melted chocolate into a piping bag or Ziploc bag and snip off a tiny corner.
4. Drizzle chocolate back and forth across each cookie to create little mummy bandages.
5. Add two candy eyes while the chocolate is still soft.
6. Let set for 10–15 minutes until the chocolate hardens.

I need some design opinions because I cannot make up my mind on this one…

This is going to be a little sitting area, and I want it to have the same Ralph Lauren-inspired feel as the rest of our house — a little English, a little coastal, a little countryside. Cozy, collected and classic without feeling too “done.”

So… GREEN or NAVY?

I keep going back and forth between the two and need fresh eyes. And if you’re looking at this space thinking I should go in a completely different direction, tell me! Paint colors, patterns, furniture, lighting — I’m open to all the ideas.

Newport, Rhode Island: A rainy day can actually force you to experience some of the best things the city has to offer… besides laying around and relaxing by the beach or pool 🤪

Here are 6 family-friendly things to do when the weather doesn’t cooperate:

1. The Mooring – Grab lunch on their covered patio. You’re completely out of the rain but still feel like you’re dining right on the wharf. Even better, there’s parking right out front, which is a huge win on a rainy day. We ordered the lobster roll and the crab toast, and both were absolutely delicious.
2. KJP – Pop into one of the prettiest stores in Newport. It’s classic New England in all the best ways.
3. Tour the mansions – The Breakers or Marble House are even better on a rainy day, and the kids will be amazed by the history and over-the-top architecture.
4. Take a drive along Ocean Drive – Grab a coffee, turn on your favorite playlist, and enjoy one of the most beautiful coastal roads in New England.
5. Nitro Bar + Co-Dough – Rainy days practically call for great coffee and a warm cookie.
6. Ryan Family Amusements – We didn’t make it here because our hotel had its own arcade, but if you’re staying elsewhere, it’s a great rainy-day stop for kids on Thames Street.

Honorable mentions we didn’t make it to:

* The International Tennis Hall of Fame – The museum is indoors, and if you don’t mind a rain jacket and umbrella, the beautiful grounds are free to walk.
* Save The Bay Exploration Center & Aquarium – A small aquarium right at the Newport Harbor that looks like a fun stop for younger kids.

So, we ended up loving our rainy days. Would Newport have been even better with sunshine? Absolutely. But we still had a blast, and honestly, the rain gave us an excuse to experience parts of the city we might have otherwise skipped.

The women who raised me…

* Never sweat the small stuff.
* Always have a drink and an appetizer ready the moment the first person walks through the door.
* Never show up empty-handed.
* Butter their bread one bite at a time.
* Get dressed to leave the house. A real pair of shoes. A real handbag. Some wear wigs, some wear fur, all of them at least a little mascara or lipstick. They believe getting ready isn’t just about how you show up for yourself. It’s about how you respect the people you’re showing up for.
* Are always on time.
* Are always reading something. A book, the newspaper, or a magazine. They stay up to date on everything. They can tell you about the newest album, what the president did yesterday, what’s happening in town, and what’s happening in the world. They believe you should always know what’s going on.
* Are never afraid to ask questions or have an opinion.
* Never take themselves too seriously, but they always take what matters seriously.
* Keep their circles small, their laughs big, and their family and dearest friends at the center of it all. by @hallierhome

Every time we order pizza we get an extra pie for the freezer. Freeze the slices with parchment in between and reheat in a 450 degree over for about 5 mins. How easy is that? 🍕 by @hallierhome
