What a ride 💗 I’m so blessed to have had the privilege to be on this team for five years and to end as their leader. I love those girls to death and I will always be there when they need me. Thank you to them for making it all so special, and thank you to my family and friends for all of the support. I have so much love for the horse who carried me so far and was the spark to my fire, we make the best team and I’m so excited to find something new to bond with him over! 🔥SASSR WEEK ONE🔥 Beyond blessed to call these girls my teammates!! What a beautiful way to open the rodeo season with clean, fun drills! I cannot express enough the love I have for everyone involved with our program and my beautiful horse, Chorizo, that carries all my problems! 2 years ago today, I was in a horse accident at the San Angelo Roping Fiesta that left me laying dead in the arena for at least five minutes. I was on a different horse, one named Mater. He had reared up three times, the first knocking me unconscious, second knocking my teeth out on my saddle horn, breaking my nose and shattering my mouth and fracturing my face, and the third knocking me off completely, breaking my neck, back, and more, to where I should have never walked again or even been alive. I have had more than 5 reconstructive surgeries since then, many sets of fake retainer teeth, and years of pain, agony, and anger. At times, I wondered “why me?”, and other times, “thank you God that I am alive”. With family that is worth their weight in gold and an absolute saint of a horse, Chorizo, recovery has been so much better than the odds I was given in the beginning. I have not returned to this arena since then, until this year, 2 roping fiestas later. I decided it was time and that having an amazing God and an amazing horse, Chorizo, who takes perfect care of me was comfort and confidence enough that I could do it. It was nothing easy. Frankly, I hated every second of it. I sobbed, shook like crazy, panicked, and doubted myself the entire time, but I would be danged to not enter that stupid arena and prove that I am stronger than the accident that formed and shaped the pain and PTSD I will have for the rest of my life. So I did. My family, my team and coaches, and friends helped me every step of the way, and while I was not mentally there to be the best leader for my team this weekend, they chose to help lead and guide me instead. That is why I love what I do. This team has changed my life, and the faith they have in our God is bigger than any obstacle I have ever had to face. I am glad to say I will never step foot in that arena again, but also proud to say I have conquered the biggest fear of my life, performing in the same spot, the same dirt that changed my life for the worse. I will continue to praise my Lord. He is bigger. He will carry you through the storms and hard times, and He is who I will turn to no matter what. Thank you, God. by @hallikayyy

Life lately, and an update🤍 Feeling extra thankful lately. I finally got my prosthetic for my mouth of “permanent teeth”. Small things like eating with a mouth full of my first set of permanent teeth, or brushing my teeth in one big portion instead of two halves seems like nothing, but to me, it’s everything. I will continue to pray for victories like this one to keep my eyes on Jesus at all times, even when it’s hard. Riding horses with my family, eating dinner with my gramma and my little brother, rodeoing with my favorite girls, big support from my family and friends, is all so meaningful to me. God continues to show up and out for me, even when I feel like I am constantly asking him to hurry, or help me sooner. I know everything is in his timing, and this was a huge step. I am finally starting to feel the relief in life. Thank you God, for my doctors and another phase of my horse accident being finished. One more phase..stay tuned🤍 by @hallikayyy

TCR 2025❤️🤍💙 This year was definitely memorable and very very muddy 😂. So much fun went into it regardless, and we put on 3 muddy yet thrilling performances with the help of each other.
