Alone under the stars in the isolated and dangerous mazes of the Canyonlands, Leo and Lily must decide whether they’ll risk their lives and hearts on the adventure of a lifetime. 💭 this was so cute omg. the treasure hunt mixed with second chance romance + forced proximity with only one sleeping bag???? obsessed. such a fun + unique storyline! def different than anything they’ve written before, but truly one of my faves. :) after reading DONE & DUSTED I was in a cowboy romance phase + this delivered very similar vibes. the plot twist halfway through was so good + unexpected. 👀 def pick this one up if you’re in the need of a good romance with a lil side of murder mystery. 🤠 Fave quote: “I’m not doing any of this because I think you need me. I’m doing it because I want to. ✨series Sunday: off-campus edition✨ THE DEAL 🏒 Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 @goodreads: 4.18 Author: @ellekennedyauthor Narrator: @readbythefox Lorelei Avalon 💭 I really love Elle’s writing 🫶🏻 while this is a sports romance at its core, she always finds a way to weave a deeper storyline throughout! she does a great job bringing light to delicate topics like SA + physical abuse. ❤️‍🩹 It’s so fun hearing her dialogue come through a young guy’s POV😆 so exited to dive into book two AND watch the tv adaptation!! THE MISTAKE 🎤 Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ @goodreads: 3.92 Narrator: @leesamuelsvoice @loreleiavalon 💭 a very solid book two 🫶🏻 I loved seeing the player turn smitten!!! I did have a smidge of ick with how heavily Logan pursued Grace when she clearly was telling him no…it was very borderline stalking 😂 but ultimately the relationship was very sweet + I loved the ending 🥹 again - love how Elle interweaves a deeper family storyline that could be so relatable! my heart was physically aching for Logan’s relationship with his dad. ❤️‍🩹 THE SCORE 🥅 Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ @goodreads: 4.13 Narrator: @savannahpeachwood @andreweiden 💭 So glad we finally got dean + Allie’s story 🫶🏻 my fave part of this was dean helping the elementary hockey team 🥹 so wholesome! I felt like this was a lot less focused on hockey than the others? Kinda missed that but I get they had a bad season lol I didn’t love the last 10-15% of the book…..the death at the end seemed SO abrupt and random? It was heartbreaking to see the grief portrayed on page, but everyone does grapple with it differently as they heal. ❤️‍🩹 the last line was kinda fun to give us a cliffhanger 😆 excited to finish the series and see how it all comes together! ✨FRIDAY FAVE✨ THIS BOOK MADE ME THINK OF YOU 📚 Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 @goodreads: 4.33 Author: @libbypagewrites Format:🎧 Length: 407 pages / 10.5 hours audio TW: death of spouse 💭 this book was a delight - such a beautiful depiction of living in grief + learning that happiness and sorrow can coexist. ❤️‍🩹 Alfie was an absolute GEM of a human + the whole concept of this book was heartwarming. 🥹 I slowly savored it & I think that’s why I enjoyed it so much 🥰 at times I felt like the timeline transition was a bit hard to follow, but definitely a book worth reading! it’s more of a story about healing with a little romance sprinkled it, but it will still give you all the butterflies while you read!! 🫶🏻 a huge thank you to @bookedwithbecca’s fave reads post for pushing this to the top of my tbr!!! Fave quote: “If you’re going to be sad may as well be sad in the sunshine with pasta and wine.” 😂 “It’s okay to feel happy and sad at the same time. Very few moments involve just one emotion.
