If y’all can let me nerd out for a second… I made a dragon 🐉 🏰 ⚔️ Biggest project I’ve done and feeling good about it! 8,700 stitches in total, took approx 90 hours to complete the embroidery alone. Opted to go all out and make this into a banner instead of leave in a hoop (thanks to my friends for helping me complete this vision, ily) Made as a gift for my dear friend @pablo_lovetrain Original pattern creator can’t be tagged because the shop closed down for being AI slop and I didn’t know til now WHOOPS 🤩 included some progress pics and a back pic for the craft nerds out there (back is not as clean as it could’ve been) Crafting makes you insane, thanks for looking, bye! by @halsuhx

I want to take this moment to be totally cheesy and vulnerable. 2024 has been absolute hell and the most rewarding and life-changing year all at the same time. I put in a great effort this year to put myself first which is something I consistently fail at. I focused a lot on my physical, mental, and social health and tried to take advantage of the beauty and pain of being in my now late 20s. My lows were.. extremely low. I experienced a lot of greatly unfamiliar and painful moments that, for the most part, completely ripped me to shreds. Some intentional and necessary, some unexpected. It’s a beautiful thing that as we grow we get to meet the ever-changing versions of ourselves and the people around us but it can be absolutely terrifying and confusing and lonely. I can acknowledge that without these lows, I would not be a fraction of the person I’ve grown into this year. I can be extremely critical of myself and I’ve spent a large amount of time letting anxiety and insecurities control many things in my life and it’s been difficult to try and overcome that, but somehow I’ve managed to start to blossom into who I am and let the great parts of myself really shine. They deserve to be seen and shared and I deserve to be loved and wanted and to smile and have fun and be pretty and meet new people and experience new things and dance and and and and and. All of it!!!!! This year I opened myself to many new friendships and adventures and holy shit what a year of life I have LIVED. I’m so grateful for everything that I’ve experienced this year, especially the bad. I’ve still got a long way to go, but I appreciate and respect myself more than I ever have before and I’m really really fucking proud of that. I want to mention that I *seriously* would not have been able to survive this year without my wonderful family and friends. I love my parents and my brother so much and I love getting older and seeing the parts of me that came from them. My close friends who I love so dearly have given me endless encouragement and support as I’ve navigated everything this year.
