ending this era extra cheesy 🍕 one last shoot at @mountainhighpizzapie before we move 🥲 when i was 19, i came to alaska on a cruise with my family for my grandparents’ 50th anniversary. we stopped in talkeetna to visit our family friend Todd & that visit changed everything. the next summer i came back to work for him, survived an entire summer on slices & mother ale, then came back & continued slinging slices for 5 more years, including during the pandemic. then i blinked and accidentally spent my entire 20’s in talkeetna. todd was the first person to ever take a chance on me & my photography dreams. starting with iphone shots of the daily specials for the pizza shop’s socials, then photoshoots, and eventually upgrading my camera just to be able to run the the halloween photobooth which gave me the confidence to start shooting more. i genuinely don’t know if i would’ve pursued photography the way i did without that push from him. todd and his purple pizzeria changed my life & ill always cherish all the memories i made there. didn’t end up getting the logo tattooed on my ass but mountain high pizza pie will always have a piece of my heart ❤️ (scroll to the end to see a photo of me working in my pizza onesie and on my first day 10 years ago 🥲) taken in Mountain High Pizza Pie by @ham.headquarters
