Flour, water, time. The principles are simple, the practice a devotion. At Hambleton Bakery, a proud B Corporation, bread is still made traditionally using stoneground flour, wild sourdoughs and long fermentation.

In the café near Exton, there’s a steady rhythm: people arriving, conversations rising, cups clinking. A modern rural hub, shaped by the oldest craft.

The day begins gently in Exton.

As morning unfolds across the Rutland countryside and the dawn chorus fills the air, Hambleton Bakery settles into another day’s baking.

As the sister bakery to the Michelin-starred @hambleton_hall , early starts and exacting standards are simply part of the routine.

Step inside and you’ll find something unexpectedly serene. It is the rhythm of repetition, not haste; the quiet confidence earned by doing something well, every day, for years. Together, the team moves with the effortless coordination of a well-rehearsed symphony.

Come behind the scenes with us to see how one of Hambleton Bakery’s most-loved bakes is made.

The faces behind our products have always been hidden… until now. 🤍 We’ve always believed that the magic lies in the hands of the people who work together to create our products.

It’s time for our incredible, talented community to take center stage. Stepping out from behind the scenes to introduce you to the producers, the bakers and the creators who make everything we do possible. #lovelocal #lovecommunity #communitymatters #artisanbread #hambletonbakery by @hambletonbake

It takes time and skilled bakers to make our sourdough….from the mixing to the kneading, the proving to the exact timing in the oven creates these beautiful golden loaves 🙌#sourdoughseptember #realbreadcampaign #lovelocal #artisanbread #hambletonbakery by @hambletonbake

It’s throwback Thursday 🙌 Your gut health in safe hands ….this is why we are not ultra processed!
We use only 4 natural ingredients in all our bread, with the added benefit of time; time for the gluten to be broken down so your gut doesn’t have to do the work, making our bread more digestible than processed bread - Simple🥖 #freshingredients #noadditives #notultraprocessed #notindustrializedfood

So ever wondered why our bread is so different from supermarket bought loaves?
It’s because we use Premium Flour; and Premium Flour = Premium Flavour ! Why ? Because our Flour is either Organic, Stoneground, Wildfarmed or from locally grown Ancient Grains 🌾 and together this brings some of the best flavours to our loaves….. #itswhatyouputinthatmatters #itsallstartswithgreatingredients #artisanbread #wellbread #premiumflour by @hambletonbake
