My loving father 💝 😍.

My greatest prayer for you, is to be raised with the companions of The Right, who will be among the lote trees, with thorns removed.

And banana trees layered with fruits.

And shade extended.

And water poured out.

And fruit abundant and varied.

Neither limited to season nor forbidden.

And upon beds raised high.

Love you so much.

There is a high level of nonchalance in the Nigeria online market that's not normal.

I rarely buy outside Lagos because of delivery fees and delays. But I have customers outside Lagos myself. This was why I went ahead with a certain order I made, after I realized the seller is in Abuja.

Two weeks after payment, nothing had been shipped. Every single follow-up came from me. Eventually, after all unnecessary wahala I went through in the hands of this seller, the order never came. I had to request a refund. To say I was pained is an understatement.

When customers pay before delivery, they trust that you will communicate and deliver. Not chasing you like it’s a privilege to buy from you.

I’ve been in the Nigerian e-commerce space for over a decade and I have worn almost every hat - procurement, logistics, records, marketing, dispute resolution, customer service.

One thing has always been clear to me.

No customer is too small to be treated with respect.

Whether you are buying much or little, you deserve courtesy, and follow-through.

Update na water for my side...

I don't want to tag you. Sha you can do better 😒 by @hamdallah.b

I am committing to showing up consistently for my business this year.

Because honestly, who would believe I was the one who installed the playground equipment (except the trampoline) in this countryhome’s backyard last year?

When I saw @bammybestowed post her holiday video. I recognized the place immediately and beamed with smiles. I was this close to commenting “I did that” from my @beyondpools.ng page…

But then I checked my page.
No content.
No proof.
Last post? March. Whew.

Then, I realised how much organic visibility and credibility I leave on the table when I don’t document my work online.

This year, I’m doing better. I deserve to be seen.

If I am asked that one thing e-commerce has taught me over the years, my answer won't be far-fetched at all.

Staying resilient in the face of challenges, especially logistics, would come first.

I have jumped more than 3 buses to fulfil an order with a profit less than N10,000. I have also sat in the corner of my home, and made a profit of more than N100,000.

In all, alhamdulillah.

I don't know why I love this photo so much ☺️.
