"To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die" - Thomas Campbell, Hallowed Ground 🧡

For millions the world over, November 1st is the Day of the Dead. A time of celebration, to welcome back those we've lost across a lifetime and to rejoice together again 🖤

Befittingly, it also presents the perfect opportunity to reflect on mid-winter's resurrection of the almighty @day_of_contempt and look forward to the next chapter with them commanding the headline 🧡

On November 21st, @lionartsfactory will roar, as DOC, the July warriors - @hammer.618 & @forge_hc - and tenfold more titans of hardcore take the stage at @618fest 🖤

Grab those tickets, relive these moments past and ready yourselves to revel again 🧡

HAMMER618 and FORGE at Day Of Contempt, Lion Arts Factory, Adelaide — 31 July 2026.

And then Adelaide hardcore did what Adelaide hardcore fucking does.

BJ from FORGE — years deep in the Adelaide hardcore trenches — jumped on stage with HAMMER618.

Then the set ends.

And this is what I caught.

Just two homies doing what they fucking love.

No grand statement.

No carefully manufactured rockstar bullshit.

Just hardcore.

Sweat. Noise. Chaos. Brotherhood.

The kind of shit that makes you remember why people keep turning up to tiny rooms with earplugs in their pockets, cameras around their necks and absolutely no sensible reason to stand this close to a wall of human violence.

HAMMER618 tearing into the Lion Arts stage.

BJ bringing decades of Adelaide hardcore history into the mix.

Day Of Contempt turning the whole fucking place into a gathering of the damned.

And somewhere in the middle of all that noise, you get a moment like this.

Two people from different points on the same fucked-up timeline.

One scene.

One love.

Hardcore.

Adelaide hardcore.

618.

Australian hardcore.

Still alive.

Still loud.

Still kicking the door in.

Hardcore never dies.

It just gets older, more deaf and somehow fucking angrier.

This is the gospel.

I bite crowd surfers.

- Killer.

15 YEARS. 🩸

15 years since they last played a show — and now they’re stepping back onto a stage at 618 FEST.

If you were there back then, you already know.

If you weren’t… ask someone who was.
