Kimuras auto biography is out of print for decades, never before translated. It’s full of knowledge- inspiration - tragedy. In the first three chapters the tale brings us from a young boy, poor in rural Japan, always being beaten up to his discovery of judo and an intense teacher known as the demon of judo - who helps forge him into the young champion he will become. Comment if you would like to read it! As always, you’re welcome to dm me - Zev taken in Montauk End Of The World by @hamptonsjiujitsuwest

CONTROL FROM CONTACT.

The first grip matters. So does everything that follows.

On December 12, 10-1 BJJ is bringing a hands-on law enforcement clinic to Hamptons Jiu Jitsu. We’ll work the path from clinch to takedown to control to custody—with skills you can pressure test and use when the situation changes.

Close the distance on your terms. Get the takedown. Secure control. Be ready to solve the next problem.

Preparing for a fight at The Garden, for over three months only to have it not materialize is definitely frustrating. But more than anything, the journey gave me the opportunity to refine my craft, sharpen my mind, and share the mats with a phenomenal group of human beings.

Hamptons Jiu-Jitsu became a cornerstone of my training this summer a true home base built on hard work, brotherhood, and growth. I’m grateful for every round, every lesson, and everyone who pushed me to become better.

No preparation is ever wasted. Iron sharpens iron. 🥋⚔️
