Had the most wholesome day yesterday with my husband when our days off finally aligned. Posed in my new favourite make in our garden (peep the disco ball and posing guidance from Nick), went and got a coffee at our fave cafe (shout out to @wildflowerespresso for the cutest message on my coffee) AND scored the most beautiful project bag at the op shop. We are so so blessed to now live somewhere we can just wander down to all these places (while hungover mind you!!!). We have been doing lots to improve our little home, including our little native garden, and I’m keen to show you all little scenes from our life.

(Collabing with my personal account bc HOW CAN I RESIST A POST THIS WHOLESOME)

I got very in my head about the fact I never finished posting about my 2025 books and so I abandoned my account. But last night we did a slideshow night for a friends bday and I was reminded how much JOY all my silly little hobbies and makes bring me and I’ve given myself permission to abandon those posts instead. I have been making some very very cool stuff and I can’t wait to just candidly share it with you all!! Thought I’d post something I’ve already shared but I got new yellow shoes and I’m really excited about it.

Can you guess what my fave colour is lol? 🥳🥰😍 by @hampymakes

Big fan of summer makes! It’s funny - so many of these tops are done in a simple stockinette and Nick asked me why they all roll like this. I’m personally a big fan of the stockinette roll on a little summer top but it does feel like a little secret we’re all in on!

BOOK 16: The Vegetarian - Han Kang
I sat with this book for a while - initially a 4 star read, but I continued to think about it for a long time after so I changed it to ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars. A very high impact book in such a small number of pages - it was concise, it was an intense read and it was very very good. Note: I literally don’t care that she was a vegetarian, this is more about the slippery descent of one woman’s mental health. by @hampymakes

I ❤️ Christmas, I ❤️ friendship and I ❤️ making gifts off my friends Pinterest boards hehe. Very stoked about this set of fridge magnets I made for my friend Secret Santa this year. Her immediate response was “did someone access my Pinterest board?” and she was absolutely correct hehe. As I said last post, handmade secret Santa gifts are RISKY but I’ve surrounded myself with people that I know will love and appreciate my little creations 🥰🎨💌🍳🥐

Also if you haven’t watched Listers then I really recommend it! @earlyworm_getsthebird @owen_reiser with the beautiful book! by @hampymakes

BOOK 15: The Husbands - Holly Gramazio @holly_gramazio
A ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ star read baby!!! I ate this UP and loved it. A literary fiction style book with magical realism elements - while about many husbands, it’s not a romance. This book is about Lauren and her journey and ultimately very little to do with the husbands. by @hampymakes

🐣🐣🧦🧦 It’s always a gamble doing work Secret Santa but when I pulled this years I was STOKED. It’s rare to have a colleague you automatically know is knit-worthy but I scored the perfect candidate this year. She is pregnant with twins and I used my beautiful Nundle Wool from my last years secret Santa to knit up two pairs of baby socks!! I actually only got 3/4 of the booties finished for the day so I don’t have any pictures of the pairs but they truly make me MELT they’re so cute 🥹🥹 🍼🍼

BOOK 14: Signs of Damage - Diana Reid
A ⭐️⭐️ read. Not one that I loved but the writing style was entertaining. As a multi-POV lover there was such a promising line here but it didn’t quite hit. It felt like multiple stories with no real resolution and like a huge chunk of the story was missing. by @hampymakes

Here’s a little project I made using back in August. The colours were a DREAM and I was obsessed with it. I used a mix of Drops Brushed Alpaca and some thrifted yarn that unfortunately was a slightly different gauge. I held it double for some colours and I don’t know if I love that but it’s such fun colours 😍😍 also fun fact, these photos were taken where we’ve scattered my dads ashes ❤️❤️❤️

I am running outta time and gotta get back on the posting bandwagon!!
BOOK 13: The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo - Taylor Jenkins Reid
This book is BELOVED and recommended regularly so I thought I’d give it a go. It’s a ⭐️⭐️⭐️ read for me - I just feel like it went on for a little longer than I needed it to, and honestly Evelyn Hugo was very manipulative. Enjoyable, but I didn’t connect with her as much as I would’ve hoped to! by @hampymakes

🍄🍄‍🟫🍃🪾🍀 Went away back in July to celebrate a wonderful friends 30th and the dress up theme for one of the nights was swamp themed. I couldn’t resist taking the opportunity to finally make this RIDICULOUS mushroom hat. It was soooo cute, turned out so well and I improvised a very warm outfit in response to the freezing conditions!! 🍄🍄‍🟫🍃🪾🍀 taken in Duckmaloi by @hampymakes

Sometimes you end up so behind on posting projects that you get overwhelmed by it. I’m surprisingly on track to finish my book blanket and read my goal of 30 books, but my gosh I’m still in MARCH for posting?
BOOK 12: Nothing To See Here - Kevin Wilson
A ⭐️⭐️⭐️ star read for me, it was fun and light hearted and a bit silly. Nothing earth shattering, but a good easy read. by @hampymakes
