PSA: The thing that decides whether your build goes smoothly or becomes a nightmare you’re coding your way out of is your theme selection (!!)

Knowing the difference and choosing the right theme from the start sets you up to deliver exactly what your client needs, without the scope creep, the stress, or the hours lost in code for things that are already coded in another theme.

This is why Week 2 in Design Freedom is entirely dedicated to choosing the perfect theme. You’ll learn our selection system so you’re building on the right foundation from day one.

Meeting your co-founder in the flesh after knowing each other only from the waist up, online is the strangest feeling. We FINALLY got to met for a DIY business retreat in Lisbon, and we had the BEST time 🌞

We vlogged our emotional reunion at the airport, plus our whole trip 🎥

Hot Tip 🔥: you can create Shopify preview links that NEVER expire.

Forget the back and forth that comes with sending your client preview links that expire in 48 hours.

There’s a better way. This is tip 14/21 or our latest YouTube video, 21 Shopify HACKS for designers, to build FAST. Comment YouTube for the link 🔗

I used to think coding was for a completely different type of person. The type of person who’s good at math and knows about computers.

But when I actually learned it, it felt a lot more familiar than I expected. Less like learning something new, and more like applying the creative way I already think.

Coding can feel like this big, technical thing that sits completely outside of design.

But once you get into it, it feels a lot closer to what you already do than you’d expect.

If you want to hear more about that, we’ve just shared a longer video on YouTube. It’s a slower, sit-down chat where I talk it through properly.

You’re very welcome to come watch it with us 🍵 by @hanadrdla

We’re in a strange transition period with Shopify right now. Horizon themes are still super buggy, OS 2.0 themes don’t give us all those extra features - so what do we do?
