You could join other crafters at Makers at the Movies and watch your favorites on the big screen!

It was another fun and fiber filled weekend at @portlandmuseum with @pmafilms_maine.So many GORGEOUS projects being worked on in the theater😍And it was so cool to see a beloved film on the big screen💕🌧️📖🥔

@juliamdunlavey from @themaineplayweek and @hollahoff had fun chatting with guests about what they brought to the theater to see “You Got Mail”. It’s not everyday you get to watch a movie in a theater with the lights on💡We loved seeing everyones “works in progress”! And it’s so fun to meet so many creative and talented folks in our community✨

And that’s a wrap. 🎬

Well over 100 knitters, crocheters, quilters and stitchers showed up to support the inaugural Makers at the Movies event at @portlandmuseum in partnership with @pmafilms_maine @handiworkportland @themaineplayweek and @oldeschoolcraft

A magical mix of a made-by-me fashion show and project show + tell. With the soft murmur of friendly chatter, the collective laughter after one of Tom Hanks zingers, the feeling of commraderie that only happens when makers come together as one.

Went for a winter wonderland walk after dinner. Lots of snow but no 🧊. I fucking love Deering Center.

An event hosted by @pmafilms_maine at @portlandmuseum

In partnership with @oldeschoolcraft and @handiworkportland

WHAT: Enjoy the ultimate makers movie experience. Bring your current work-in-progress and enjoy a classic film with the lights partially on. We can’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon alongside other local fiber crafters.

WHEN: This inaugural presentation will take place Saturday, February 7 at 3pm, with a screening of “You’ve Got Mail”.
