Your mum had one of these on her dressing table. Mine did.

Medora has been in Pakistan longer than most of us have been buying makeup, and I wanted to know whether the lipsticks actually still hold up — or whether we've all just moved on to nicer packaging.

I always check the inside first.

A clutch can look expensive in a photo and then you open it and it's that shiny polyester lining that snags on everything. This one's velvet. The frame is proper metal, the shell is hard so it holds its shape instead of folding in your hand, and there's an actual stone set into the clasp.

The chain tucks inside if you'd rather carry it as a clutch.

Wedding season starts next month and this is the kind of thing you use for all of it instead of buying one bag per event.

Rs 257 a pair. Delivered.

Seven pairs from TJ Wholesale — Rs 1,553 for the earrings, Rs 249 shipping, Rs 1,802 total. At that price I expected at least one dud in the box.

Honest verdict: the plating matches the photos on every pair, nothing arrived bent, and the finish is consistent across all seven — which is usually the first thing that gives a cheap set away. The Rs 169 flower tops look no cheaper than the Rs 299 peacock studs.

What I can't tell you yet is how they hold up. Ask me in three months and I'll post an update, same as I did with my three-year-old Shein ones.

Every pair I own used to live in one tangled pile in a drawer.

This is a clear plastic organiser book — six pockets per spread, one pair each, snaps shut. Rs 480 from @gobazaar.pk

Nothing tangles. Nothing scratches against anything else. And I can actually see what I own, which turns out to be the real problem with a drawer — you forget half of it exists.

Honest limit: big statement pieces don't fit flat, so those still sit separately.

How do you store necklaces? Mine are still a disaster and I need ideas.

Third bottle. I don't repurchase anything three times.

@raybyrafia Ray by Rafia "Time to Shine" underarm serum. Two things it does for me: no smell all day, and the skin there is noticeably more even than it was.

That's the whole review. I'm not going to tell you it changed my life.

One caution, and this matters — it has AHAs and kojic acid. Don't put it on straight after shaving or waxing, and patch test first. I learned that the slightly uncomfortable way.
