Possibly the highlight of my 2025 AP Drawing Portfolio. Features an assortment of traditional Korean flowers to represent the intersectionality of my Korean-American and female identity, as my sustained investigation focused on girlhood. My favorite piece!

<Maybe I'm Worth the Mess>
oil pastel on paper

Another part of my AP portfolio. This piece is like my first oil pastel painting ever! It's all about how messy it gets when you peel a pomegranate but how yummy it is at the end, and using that as a metaphor for self discovery and life. I know, so profound.

<On My Way to You>
acrylic on canvas
•

One of my older pieces and my faaavorite. This is the piece that first truly made me feel like an artist (humbly). It permanently hangs in the school hallway now! Very honored, although I do miss seeing her in my room. Also, the meaning behind the title is that these are the hills I drive by on my way to my friend's house hehe (wonder if she'll see this😋).

<Through Her Eyes>
acrylic on circle canvas

I really like this piece! I timed myself for 1 hour to finish to display true vulnerability and honesty. Though it was a bit daunting, it felt real and authentic. With the bright, pink colors, I again showcase my femininity coupled with the painting's fierce gaze.
