I’m here at the Bellevue Arts Fair Weekend, on that little east west street between the upper and lower sections. It is closed off for foot traffic. Beautiful weather!! I have a different booth set up for the odd sized space and have been trying to get a good photo of it. @bellevuedowntown@bellevueartsmuseum by @handslowpottery

It’s been thrilling and relaxing all at once to be part of the most recent anagama wood-firing @eastcreekart. Enjoy some fire video. I might be going back for some more of the same firing soon. Loading takes days and the firing takes nearly a week. These are the early parts of the process- loading and starting a warming fire outside the kiln, and gradually starting to move it inside the fire box. by @handslowpottery

A new pilsner cup form I’ve been working on lately. These were soda fired @ratcitystudios where the flame and vapor leave their own record across the surface. I’ve been chasing a shape that feels good in the hand, holds a generous pour, and gives the kiln room to speak on smooth surface and texture. This green-beige-carbon glaze, in combination with the lacing, feels WWI to me. Anyone else track history by color palette beside me? by @handslowpottery
