Okok I really hyped up the sweater and then left you all hanging BUT I do have an excuse.

I specifically wanted to finish my sweater so that I could wear it when we eloped; that’s why I had a time crunch! I thought it would be nice to wear it on the day of the wedding and get some nice, professional photos. But after we got married, we wanted to send out announcements so that family and friends knew. Which then meant I was holding off on posting wedding photos. Whichhhh therefore meant I didn’t want to post the photos of my first ever hand-knit sweater.

Ok now that storytime is over, here is my sweater. It was the Monday Sweater by @petiteknit. PetiteKnit is pretty darn popular in the knitting world and I understand why. Not only are the patterns extremely easy to understand for a newbie, but there are a TON of resources and tutorials online for each pattern specifically.

My sweater definitely isn’t perfect and I have barely worn it because *SUMMER*. BUT it did really help cement a newfound love for knitting. I can’t believe it took me so long to recognize how perfect of a hobby it is for me.

Always happy to chat about knitting and crochet. Heck, I’m always happy to chat about all things crafty! Hit me up! 🐚🍃🌊🦀🌱🦭 by @handstandrea

I am sad to share that Max passed away last week. I feel a little silly writing a eulogy for a dog but I think many people understand that losing a pet is like losing a family member. If you never got to meet Max, I feel very sorry for you. He was a champion snuggler, the likes with which may never be seen again. While I am deeply sad that Max is no longer with us, I feel immensely grateful that we got nearly 15 years together. Jake and I were lucky enough to be in Los Angeles a few days before his passing so we got to soak up those last few moments with him. He was an old dog and while we could see his personality fading, he still consistently asked for snuggles and treats. It gives me comfort knowing that he was still able to enjoy his two favorite things up until the end.

Max was a bit more of a homebody, so he didn’t get out too much. If you do have any memories with him, please feel free to comment them below or message me. It makes me smile to hear stories about him.

Grief is the price we pay for love. If my love could have kept Max alive, I think he would have lived forever. by @handstandrea

The results are in! The final Canelé scores are in and we have an ultimate winner. Is the winner the one who had the best average? Or the person who got to eat the canelés? Orrrr are we all winners here?!

Anyways, my editing here is pretty rough. In my defense, I edited this on a phone at the airport. I promise the time is accurate!

Canelé run #7! The good news for me is that Jake definitely took the final average as motivate to do one more canelé run. So it’s looking like I’ll be having a canelé for breakfast for the next two days. 😊 by @handstandrea

Instagram auto-captions doesn’t recognize the word canelé so I’m just going to stop editing it because it’s funny. Here’s Kamala run # 6. Will sprint for cantaloupe. by @handstandrea

We are starting to reach canelé saturation over here and may need to take a day or two off. I’m all for indulging but I spent a month in Paris and intimately know the consequence of eating pastries every day. I’m sure we will be back in a few days.

I did shave off 14 seconds from my official time, so that’s a win. Part of the magic of a Canelé run is that you don’t get to control for all factors; it’s 50% luck and 50% performance. I did push it on the hill sprint but the wait time added at least 1:15 to my time. One day I will get lucky and break the 4 minute milestone.

Until next time. Xoxo. by @handstandrea

They said it couldn’t be done. They said it wasn’t possible. But sometimes all it takes is a little faith and no line at the bakery. by @handstandrea
