Quoted from their website: Berriez
“celebrates curves, colors and fruit. Although we launched in Brooklyn in 2018, the seed was planted — pun intended — when founder Emma Zack was just a teenager. Frustrated by the challenge of finding fun and stylish clothes that fit her curvy body, Emma turned to secondhand shopping as a way to find what made her feel good in her skin. Berriez brings the fruits of Emma’s sartorial eye to others (literally). Accessibility and representation are the core of Berriez—pun still intended. Like fruit, we want every Berriez customer to remember that they’re uniquely vibrant, sweet and desirable at any size and shape.”

One of my favorite clients (my dad) has finally decided to throw some paint on his walls.

This freestyle geometric accent job is a stark contrast to the off white walls he’s been living with for 20 years.

Definitely giving lively vibrant energy in the workout/lounge area in his house. We also decided to paint the closet doors as well as half wall surface a “Lizard Green” from @behrpaint

This family wanted to upgrade their daughter’s loft style bed without completely replacing it. I recommended a floral wall paper & they loved it 😁 🌸

💚 I never actually stopped providing home improvement services.

🖤I did however take a HUGE step back and have become more selective with my workload and clientele.

❤️I enjoy the results of a fresh coat (or 2) of high quality paint & over the years have actually grown to love a properly prepped paint job.

What’s ‘properly prepped’ you ask? Here are 3 basic tips to have a smooth and minimally messy paint job at home:

1. The emptier the room, the better. If you can remove all of the furniture/trinkets/photos out of the room to be painted, it’s less likely that these items will be damaged when you begin to paint. All remaining items should be placed in the center of the room.
2. Drop cloths & Floor protection: cover your floors and all items that have to stay in the area to be painted. Paint splatters and drips. Trust me, get the drop clothes and protect your floors with heavy duty paperboard surface protection (& yes it can be reused).
3. Clean your walls! Yes dust your baseboards, ceiling corners, & any other neglected areas that need dusting. The cleaner the surface to be painted, the smoother the finish and better the paint adhesion. Also, remove nails and anything you use to mount objects to your wall (ie, nails and other picture hanging hardware).
