Soaking up the last of this PNW summer the best way we know how. Got a super late start Saturday, hit the trailhead at 6:00pm and found camp in the dark, nothing we can’t handle!

The last stop on our Costa Rica trip was Santa Teresa. This might’ve been my favorite….we went snorkeling, saw tons of monkeys, rented four wheelers a@d spent pretty much 90% of the day in the water. Beautiful sunsets, and blue water…yes please.

Our second stop of the trip was Monteverde. Beautiful and hilly, almost reminiscent of the Blue Ridge mountains. We stayed in a really cool house on stilts, went zip lining (again), and explored the cloud rainforest! The kids also did great impressions of me and styled my hair. 🤙

Just wrapped summer with an unforgettable trip to Costa Rica with the fam. We explored three very unique areas, starting in La Fortuna (pictured). Got super lucky when the rain stopped for zip lining near the Arenal Volcano. Highly recommend @skyadventurescr, the guides were great. We saw a howler monkeys, a sloth, red-eyed tree frogs, white faced coatie, iguanas and more!

We had THE BEST backpacking trip in the Olympics this weekend. No bugs, smoke or excessive heat….plenty of swimming, good friends and sunshine. by @hanksssmith

Had the best weekend at the Darrington Bluegrass Festival. Kels and I have been coming here for 7 years running, and it never disappoints. Good tunes, easy camping, friends & family and a river to swim in. Can’t ask for much more. taken in Darrington Bluegrass Festival by @hanksssmith

Just getting home from the best Fourth of July backpacking trip. The weather was nice and cool, but no rain forecasted so we slept with the fly off. The kids got along great and we had a little parade at camp to celebrate. taken in Pacific Crest Trail by @hanksssmith
