You’ve probably forgotten thousands of people.
But somehow, a few strangers stay with you forever.
The woman you saw at an airport years ago.
The man sitting alone in a café.
Someone you passed on the street and never saw again.

You don’t know their names.
You don’t know their stories.
And yet, you remember them.

Last week, I visited 深圳国际美术馆（SIMOA） to see New Links: Eliasson, Zadok, Anadol.

I thought the AI installations would be the highlight.
And honestly, they were incredible.
Luke Jerram’s Helios made me feel tiny beneath a giant sun.

Refik Anadol’s Machine Hallucinations felt like stepping inside the dreams of a machine.
But the artwork I couldn’t stop thinking about was something completely different.

People I Saw but Never Met by Zadok Ben-David.
Thousands of tiny figures.
All based on real people the artist encountered while traveling around the world.
People he photographed.
People he never spoke to.
People who remained strangers.

Standing there, I suddenly realized something.
Most of our lives are made up of people we barely know.

People who appear for a moment and disappear.
A glance.
A shared train ride.
A few seconds in the same room.
And then they’re gone.
But sometimes, without realizing it, they become part of our memory.

And maybe that’s true the other way around too.

Maybe somewhere out there, someone still remembers us.
Just a face.
A silhouette.
A brief moment that stayed with them.

If you’re in Shenzhen, this exhibition is worth seeing.
Not because it features AI.
But because every once in a while, a piece of art quietly reminds you what it means to be human.

Billie Jean King Cup in Shenzhen, where we supported Team Ukraine from the stands with all our hearts.

They didn’t make it to the finals this time, but what they did was so much more than just chasing a trophy. These girls carry the name of our country onto the global stage in a time when every step, every match, every flag means something deeper.

They unite Ukrainians across the world. They show strength, grace, resilience — and remind us that sometimes, it’s not only about the result. It’s about the journey, the team spirit, and the courage to keep going.

Endless respect to each of them. And to @martakostyuk — you are not only building a powerful career, but also becoming a voice, a symbol, a presence. A fighter in every sense.
