Dance is magic.

Watching this video makes me so emotional. I am so lucky to have peers that I trust enough to dance this vulnerably with. I am so lucky to have peers who cheer each-other on. I am so lucky to dance with such incredible artists and human beings. I am just so lucky. Wow.

Paint war 2025!!

I can’t believe this is my life! I witness parents of young kids sacrifice their time to build friendships with high schoolers. I see teenagers be brave enough to show up to events where they won’t know anybody. I see and hear and experience laughter in community! I can’t forget about the man behind the camera or my husband inviting kids to hear about who Jesus is or my friend who ran around with high schoolers even after hurting her back. There is so much more I could say!The people around me are strong and loving and deeply kind. What a life this is. by @hannah.suppes

A full year!

365 days ago, PJ became my husband, and it has been so incredibly sweet. We’ve been joking about how all of our “big” moments seem to be accompanied by unpleasant situations. PJ had the stomach bug when he proposed to me and threw up twice. The night of our wedding, the hotel had overbooked, and we ended up having to go somewhere else. We got stolen from on our honeymoon. Today I woke up with my right eye swollen shut from a mosquito bite. The list goes on.

I think it would be easy to get sad about these big romantic moments not going according to plan, but man oh man has it made me fall so much more in love with the man I’m spending my life with, and it has also showed me how kind our God is.

The day PJ proposed, his dad texted me and made a joke about practicing the whole “in sickness and in health” thing, but I think that’s so true. Not every moment of marriage has been a fairytale moment, but we promised to love each other in all of the highs, lows, and buffalos that come our way.

There truly is no one else I’d rather go to Walmart with to buy allergy meds and some frozen peas on our anniversary. This love feels so safe, and it’s all because of the perfect love of Christ that empowers us.

2024 was loud!

I visited LA, graduated college, got married, moved to a different state, started grad school, experienced ministry in a new community, and so much more. God’s blessings have been so intensely obviously this year. It’s hard to imagine what 2025 could bring except a quietness to follow such a loud outpouring of excitement and joy. Yet as beautiful and awe striking as 2024 was, I am already filled with so much wonder and anticipation as I imagine the quiet year to follow. God has so much still in store. I can hear him in the whispers

1. Dance trip to LA!
2. When I first tried on my wedding dress

4. I turned 22 in Ohio!

6. My last ballet class in undergrad
