*Sigh* the world has been a crazy place.

Amidst all this social division, I was blessed enough to have spend the last couple weeks in-community with incredible Indigenous women from across Nova Scotia and British Columbia, as well as here in Edmonton.

I’d love to speak about the soul touching experience this was, and how healing it is to be in ceremony, in relation, and in solidarity with my people. But instead, I just want to say one thing:

Hate and divide has plagued humanity. We have become so detached from our spirits, we have desensitized one another from the injustices all around us.

No matter who you are, where you come from, or what you believe - we are all humans of this Earth. In communities around the world, including this land we call home, choice is a privilege. Whether it’s the water you drink, the food you eat, the place you call home, or the people in your circle. Having a voice is a privilege. Having autonomy is a privilege. Do not waste your blessings. Do not weaponize them against those less fortunate.

Recognize the blessings before you, empathize with those around you.

Fight not for what this world expects of you, but of what God and your soul knows to be true. When we act in this way, we nourish a world that desperately needs more love.

Christmas was a little different this year. After 3 long months in the hospital, my mom can now move her legs again after surviving a severe stroke.

HE has been with us this whole journey. Through everything: the prayers, hospital visits, and the beautiful souls who stepped up to support. God has covered my mom with love, and kept her light shinning, even during the dark moments.

Full of tears, joy, and everything in between. Greatest gift we could have ever possibly imagined.

God is so good, I cannot say that enough. So many said this day may never come… but faith will not fail. Whether it’s small blessings or awaited miracles, God shows up. He’s always there, plan in motion. It might not make sense right now, but there is strength in divine orchestration. With time, all will come together.
