With my @bmw family in Dubai for the launch of the new BMW 7 Series… with a very special guest from 1977: the first-ever generation of the iconic 7 Series! The past met the future as we discovered the new 7, from its Neue Klasse technology and completely reimagined cabin to all the details that make BMW’s flagship sedan feel even more luxurious.

In 2021, I had almost 93,000 followers on Instagram. I have always been outspoken on here about Palestine but when the Sheikh Jarrah evictions in East Jerusalem happened, I dedicated almost my entire platform to the cause. Since then, I’ve lost around 7,000 followers. I guess people didn’t want “politics” on their feed and my account was shadowbanned- never to grow again. I am Palestinian-Jordanian, with an Irish mother (both my parents attend demonstrations whenever they can). I come from two histories that taught me that freedom should never be taken for granted, and that silence in the face of oppression comes at a cost. It is in my blood to fight for freedom. To speak up and never look away. I would be far more uncomfortable with what staying quiet would cost me. I don’t separate my platform from who I am. My heritage, my values and my belief in freedom don’t disappear because they might make me less popular. I would rather lose followers for speaking about Palestine than gain them by pretending I don’t care. I could cry today because after everything we’ve done, every post, every story, every repost, every article shared, every tweet amplified, every journalist and voice we tried to push further, every fundraiser, every horrifying image and testimony we shared as we watched Gaza unfold in real time on our screens… it feels like people may finally be beginning to listen?

Thank you to everyone speaking up.

Long live Palestine. May my son see a free Palestine one day and may we walk hand in hand through the villages and towns of the land we once called home.

I’m sharing this again because this campaign was the first time after having my son that I really felt like myself again.

In those early months postpartum, I remember looking in the mirror and not fully recognising the person looking back at me. Everything changed reaaally quickly- my body, my face, my whole energy. And beyond the physical changes, there was this weird feeling of having lost touch with the version of myself I’d known for so long.

Motherhood changes you in ways you’re really not prepared for. I definitely wasn’t. So if you’re in those early months now and wondering whether you’ll ever feel like yourself again, I promise that you will ☺️

And not necessarily the “exact” person you were before, but someone that’s actually more confident, more content, more radiant and more at ease in her own skin. I honestly feel more comfortable in myself now than I ever have. And when I look at these images, that’s what they represent to me.. not actually going back to who I was, but finding myself again in a whole new way. by @hannah_rsk

This is an @alexandermcqueen gown I bought in 2016 for my younger brothers engagement party and I hadn’t worn it since. It was a special gown and I really wanted to wear it again. I always repeat my gowns because I really hate buying anything I will only wear a handful of times. It makes absolutely no sense to me. My little acrylic PVC satin Lady Dior is from 2001 and was my mum’s (the Swarovski crystals, so Y2K!). I find it strange that, especially in this part of the world, where tradition, heirlooms and the things passed between generations hold so much meaning and value, we still feel this immense pressure for novelty when it comes to dressing for weddings. We treasure the stories attached to objects in almost every other part of our lives- but maybe less so when it comes to fashion? by @hannah_rsk
