If y’all see me ride hard for body acceptance and neutrality, it’s bc we only get one and they do such cool shit, like mine GREW and safely DELIVERED TWO HUMANS! And is making 100% of the nourishment my baby needs to live. So he needs me fed.

I remember instinctively trying to “suck in” my tummy a few months ago in pictures then remembering I was literally pregnant (?!). I’m not concerned about “bouncing back,” I’ve literally been 90lbs before and I was so miserable, I missed out on so much life bc I’d be at the gym on Friday nights while my friends were making memories. I’d be at home avoiding social gatherings bc I didn’t want to go over my calorie deficit for the day. Thinking foods I ate made me “good” or “bad,” wanting so badly to be loved and accepted by someone who treated me like shit and thinking maybe if I fit this body type things would change. Terrified to actually meet my goal weight bc then what? My whole life revolved around dieting and punishing my body for literally existing. The things I did to try to lose weight makes me so sad to think about today. It’s taken a lot of unlearning and it’s a journey, and I extend so much compassion to that version of myself.

So yes I have a little extra fat and skin than I did before but that was literally the assignment when I created these babies, (and when I stopped being a child myself) and it deserves celebration, not shame. My husband and kids love me and really that’s all that matters to me right now. My body will probably change over time but I’m done trying to k!ll myself to look a certain way. I’m much too busy living the life I dreamed of. Plus I have boobs now which is cool 🤭 love y’all and I pray everyone finds love for themselves because you deserve it 🩷
