It's taken a bit to post this as we have been going through the grieving process.

Last Tuesday we had to say see ya later to our most perfect girl.

For a few years Nellie has had kidney disease. Two weeks ago she got some routine blood work and urine analysis which showed it had progressed to almost kidney failure and that she also had an infection. She immediately started IV fluids treatments (which she did Tues, Thurs and Fri), an antibiotic and another prescription. Last Sunday we got some family pictures done by @hester_photography_ig and I am so so thankful. Last Monday we went back for blood work and urine analysis to see if the treatments and medicine were helping and found they were not and that it had gotten worse. By Monday afternoon, she wasn't eating at all, her heart and her breathing weren't regular, she was shaky and needed help standing. Her body was shutting down. Throughout all of this she was the perfect image of joy. She was in so much pain and still kept a smile on her face, literally. Nellie got me through some times in life that I probably wouldn't have gotten through without her. It was Nell and me against the world until Joshua came into our lives and we built a beautiful family. Beckett is still unsure why his sissy isn't home and what her being with Jesus actually means. Waffles still looks for her and can tell something is off. Our world has been shaken and we have a Nellie sized hole in our hearts. We appreciate any prayers for our family. We are so glad we got the chance to love such an amazing, once in a lifetime pup. We love you Nellie, nellerz, Nells, nellaroo, nellaroni, sissy and the bestest girl.

We are lucky we have gotten a whole extra week with you 🥰 Beckett is the best big brother and loves his baby Judah so much! We are a bit sleep deprived but so in love 🥰
