Signed, sealed & ready for deliveryyyy—YAY!!!

This was a commission, for a long-time collector and friend who has supported me since day 1 (majorly grateful for her) & I knew that to achieve what she wanted, required me to truly let myself just express what felt super natural on the canvas.. And I am ecstatic with the outcome!! Now moving on to creating its sister piece… Girl With The Snazzy Green Shoes part II coming soon 👀👡❇️ taken in Aspen, Colorado by @hannahhurtart

3.21.26 was one for the books ✨

As my paint splattered space filled up with close friends, locals, and friends-of-friends, I was reminded of why I love this place so much: the community.. the incredible energy of everyone that walked in, the smiles, the laughs, hearing what painting someone was drawn to, how creativity inspired them personally and so much more (all to the soundtrack of @romyancona incredible beats setting the vibes fabulously)

I hadn’t completed near what I wanted; I thought of every reason to cancel.. but a little push from my co-host Romy, some faith in the process, and a lot of help from my friends / surrounding community made for a night to remember!!!

I have been overwhelmed with gratitude to say the least - thank you to everyone who showed up, sent a friend, sent a text, flowers, supplied sweet treats, drinks and the most delicious charcuterie board / empanadas I’ve ever seen @francescasempanadas

tuning into what the canvas wants to become, & sometimes, (or maybe more than not) that is on the freaky side.. Freaky, expressive, bold, electric, aliiiivvveee : some of the feelings this piece evokes to me. And it may be something totally different to you; art is so subjective.

I have the words of Rick Rubin, Liz Gilbert, and Steven Pressfield to thank—for being able to turn off the part of my brain that tries to analyze the end result or judge it too much. It is what it is.. and I’ll keep making whatever ideas continue to come through💭

Swipe through for a year’s worth of painting on one canvas.. that’s what happens when you’re a “perfectionist”,, even tho apparently that just means you care too much about what people think.. something I’m working on 🤪 either way, I’m grateful for the journey it led me down.

I felt so many versions of myself working through this piece (nervous, excited, burnt out, hopeful, etc) trying to make something abstract, something floral, something abstract & floral,,, I wanted it to feel evolved, while remaining true to me.

After thousands of hours (it feels like at least) from Aug 2024 to June 2025, “Full Bloom” is complete!!! In its most bold, eclectic, feminine, unapologetic form ⚡️🌸✨ taken in Aspen, Colorado by @hannahhurtart

Sometimes a piece tells you what it wants to become.. This 4x5 canvas started as pure floral exploration last summer, evolved through months of refinement, until an image popped in my head - one I had been admiring for years by the work of @jsiegelphotography of the stunning @jessicanaz. The lace outfit, the leather boots, the expression on her face,, I had to paint it…

To me, this painting represents the exploration that I & all women are constantly navigating - existing as both soft and strong, feminine yet powerful, delicate and intense. She embodies that duality beautifully. The floral garden doesn’t diminish her edge; her intensity doesn’t negate the beauty surrounding her. There’s peace and power in how she exits here, completely herself
