Ever since welcoming our newest little girl, I’ve been trying to be more intentional about carving out one on one time with my older two.

I’ve realized they don’t need extravagant outings or perfectly planned days. They just need moments that remind them, “Mom is still here with me.” 🩵

This week, that looked like reading about scones from outer space… and then heading to the kitchen to bake our own together. We laughed, made a mess, snuck way too many bites of dough, and somehow turned an ordinary afternoon into one I know we will all remember for a long time.

I have a feeling these little traditions will end up meaning even more than the recipes themselves.

Thank you, @tastytalescooking , for creating such a sweet way to slow down and make memories together 😌

Eight beautiful years of marriage!

All these years later and I still haven’t found the right words to express what an honor it is to be married to this man.

He calls out the best in me and encourages me in everything I do. He leads me courageously and is strong in the darkest moments. He is a man of character and integrity. He walks in humility. He considers it a privilege to provide for our family and does so with a joyful heart. He is patient and quick to apologize. But above all else, he loves me the same way Christ loves the church; that he daily dies to himself to serve me, protect me, and cherish me each and every day.

I hear often that marriage is hard, but truly with intentionality, grace, love, communication, and God at the center, it is the best thing ever!!!

What a privilege it is to carry little legs too tired to walk. To push the stroller that holds the babies I once prayed for. To juggle the scooter, the bags, and even the mental load of mom life. Yes, my hands are full, but my heart is absolutely overflowing.

At the same time, some days it feels like too much. The weight of little bodies, big emotions, and endless responsibilities can leave me exhausted and stretched thin. Maybe you feel that too, mama.

But then I think of the moms a few steps ahead of me, the ones who tell me “you’ll miss these days.” And I think I just might believe them.

Because even though this season is messy and overwhelming, it’s also holy. Psalm 127 says, “Children are a gift from the Lord.” And when I hold onto that truth, I see the beauty tucked inside the chaos. The fullness inside the mess. The sacredness hidden in the everyday. 💛 by @hannahpiscuc

As a stay-at-home mom, the days can feel so monotonous. You clean the house for the fifth time, answer a million questions, respond to endless demands, and hold boundaries you feel too exhausted to hold. You wipe spills off the floor, scrub sticky counters, and somehow still end up wondering if you’re making any difference at all.

It can feel like you’re living the same day on repeat. You’re worn thin, burnt out, running on little sleep, always on your feet, helping regulate big feelings and trying to respond with grace and love.

But here’s what changes everything, Colossians 3:23 says “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”

When I look at motherhood through that lens, I can’t help but see this work as holy. As worship. Everything the I do, I do unto Him.

I picture our loving God smiling as we raise the next generation to know Him, to love Him, and to be loved by Him. 💛 by @hannahpiscuc
