This bike has been seeing all kinds of miles lately, so it felt like time for a proper look at my 2026 Libre 🌼

The butter yellow paint job might look familiar, but there are a few updates to this year’s build.

@konabikes Libre CR/DL, 50 cm frame.

New @eastoncycling components this year include the EC90 ALX wheels, crankset, and cockpit. I’m running 38cm bars and 170mm cranks with a @4iiiicom power meter. It’s quick on the road and ready for anything once you leave the pavement.

@schwalbetires has been another new addition. The G One RS in a 45mm has become my go to for most rides. I’ll bump up to a 50mm up front and swap to the G One R or RX when the roads get rougher, like the BC logging roads of Gravel Nationals. And every now and then, a set of 32mm Pro Ones for the Saturday morning Group Ride World Championships at OBB.

Finally, a constant year after year, it wouldn’t be complete without @shimanogravel GRX. I’m once again running the Di2 2x12 drivetrain.

The Libre has felt right at home on the race course, big training blocks, and adventure rides. Looking forward to plenty more miles on this speedy rig 👊 taken in Fernie, British Columbia by @hannahsimms11

I’ve been running the @raceface Era SL system this season and it’s been a perfect match for the @konabikes Hei Hei.

It’s been fun being able to play around with my handlebar setup more than I ever have. The Era SL bars are designed to be run with either +6 mm or -6 mm rise depending on which way you flip them. I’ve been running them in the negative position, paired with a Race Face Turbine stem in the negative orientation as well, for a more XC focused setup. I’ve also been dialling in my bar width for my size and currently have these cut down to 710mm.

After putting the setup through the paces at BC Bike Race, safe to say the Era SL lineup has nailed the balance between XC efficiency and downcountry capability 👌

Back in Fernie for FGG week! 🙌

Holy, sold out and our biggest year yet.

Tomorrow we welcome 550 racers, 100 volunteers, and 80 women for the Women’s Ride. Here we go again for year 6!

Not much to report from 🇨🇦 Gravel Nationals other than it was hot and it was cancelled. But you’ve probably heard the drama by now.

I suppose fortunately(??) I wasn’t in the mix for a podium spot that ultimately wouldn’t exist, and with it being a home race, my costs were relatively low. I guess we’ll file it away as a big training day and having not spent much time in the heat this year, a good reminder not to underestimate fuelling and cooling.

While the racing itself left a bit of a weird and unfinished feeling, I was stoked to have the opportunity to pre-ride with the @peakspursuits squad and share some gravel and racing knowledge!

Time to reset and try again at @ghostofthegravel in just over a week!

That’s a wrap on @bcbikerace 2026

Stage 7 finished up on Maple Mountain with two timed segments and locking in 2nd place overall 🥈

The MTB stoke is high! It was such an exciting seven days of racing awesome trails with a strong field of female riders. I wasn’t expecting so many sprint finishes, but it made for some incredibly fun and competitive racing all week long.

Thank you to @bcbikerace for an incredible week. And a big thank you to all the volunteers who make this event possible.

Day 6. SO CLOSE 🥺

An epic day in Nanaimo battling for the win. It was back and forth all day with @woofholcomb coming right down to the line. Great racing and post racing chats deciding mtb racing >>>> gravel racing 🤝
