🎬 On the Grove: Vlog #3

Yesterday, we made something out of nothing — the indie way.

With a shoestring budget, a whole lot of favors, and the help of generous collaborators, we produced the pilot for a new unscripted series created by my friends and new producing partners, Chase and Hannah Clements.

We’re calling it Veganize It! — but this vlog is less about the show and more about the spirit behind it: people coming together to bring bold, independent productions to life in Chicago’s creative community.

That’s the beauty of Chicago independent film: we rally. We share. We treat people with respect. And we tell the stories that deserve to be seen — even when the resources are tight.

Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at indie filmmaking, collaboration, and real community.

I wrote a poem about my grandmother, Marilyn.
Combining the memories of growing up going to the beach with her in Corona Del Mar and a recent memory visiting her and sharing tender words of inspiration and wisdom. 🌸🌼 I’m so grateful she shared her love of nature, music, and God with me.
