we’ve been working on the what’s next a lot recently, & couldn’t be more lucky that our dear friend Hanny (of one of our favorite bands, @latchkeykidsnj) has been working on it with us 🪩 we wanted dc to be the first to hear what’s new before we disappear for a bit to finish it up, & on 10/16 we get to do that with the help of collaborators past & new. join us for the one-night-only-pb-6-piece-experience, for old stuff & new stuff & a lot of sound ⭐️ tickets are in our linktree, we can’t wait to see you 💘 poster by @elyzareinhart / @idontspellcheck by @hannyramadan

my debut single ‘Good Bit of Death’ is finally out on all platforms!!!!! i wrote it a year ago about 2 broken people who cross paths on a fateful night & it later morphed into an introspective evaluation about how we move on after loss. a glittery song about grief, growth & the strange spaces in between. where hardship meet hope. thankful for the things that brought me here - the good & the bad. & i could not be here without the tireless work from the talented team who helped bring this song to life: thank you @faded.home my recording engineer & co-producer, who made the whole recording process so fun & smooth. i’m so glad to have collaborated with you & to be able to call you a friend. thank you @headroomphiladelphia what a privilege it is to record in philadelphia’s finest. @kylepulley is a legend. he crushed the mix on this song & helped whip its production into shape. thank you @ianfarmerdoe for the b e a utiful master!!!! you rock!!!!! thank you @elijah_mg_ for additional engineering! thank you @cylemorrismusic my brother from another who wrote & played all things drums. you absolutely nailed it. grateful for your efforts in really driving this song’s groove. thank you @ktchnboy for his dedication to creating the most exciting visuals for the whole DANNAH experience from videos to cover art to branding & merch etc. for always saying yes to my ideas even when they’re absolutely nuts & most importantly for the 24/7 emotional support & for being my biggest cheerleader. & lastly, thank you to my actual brother @hannyramadan who paved the way & made my dreams come true. my executive producer & cowriter, guitarist, keys player, mentor & bestie for the restie. i owe most of this to you! much more from me soon 💋 by @hannyramadan
We asked a local (and dear friend) to give us a category and his five favorite picks. He chose to talk about the noisemakers in the Philly music scene that have shaped him the most. @hannyramadan is the frontman and primary songwriter of the Philly indie band @latchkeykidsnj. Last week, his band released their debut studio album, Years of Summer. After listening (which I highly recommend you do!), I decided Hanny would be a great person to talk to for our Locals List. “latchkey kids has always straddled our own stubborn line between a folk rock writing style & an electrified punk delivery. This has made capturing the band’s vision on record difficult but scintillating & rewarding whenever strides are made. Finding your recorded ‘sound’ is a never-ending journey, but looking back, many collaborators and influences have brought us this far especially in the balancing dance of ‘light’ & ‘dark,’ ‘noisy’ & ‘quiet,’ & ‘folk’ & ‘punk.’ Here are my Top 5 Philly Noisemakers (Producers/Engineers) who have shaped my sound thus far!” Head to the link in our bio to check out the list! THE LOCAL’S LIST is our weekly series where we tap locals to share their favorite spots, personal recs, and the kind of tips you usually only get from a friend. by @hannyramadan
