Today we had the pleasure of attending the @sonomacountyfarmbureau Premium luncheon on behalf of Sotheby's International Realty and of course the Hansen Vineyard & Winery Team.

As a member of the Farm Bureau we appreciate the advocacy and knowledge the organization seeks to provide to the community.

While they don't always sing their own praises, the Farm Bureau is consistently working in the background to benefit Sonoma county's farming families.

This last weekend we celebrated my parents 40th (!) Anniversary at their favorite restaurant @valettehbg

An exceptional 5-course menu with hand selected wine pairings chosen by @harryhansenwine himself!

Thank you to @dustinvalette and his team for taking exceptional care of us and making this a truly special celebration.

I am so thankful to have such a great example of what love and commitment looks like and I'm truly grateful to my parents for all they've given us.

One of my favorite stories is the old Chinese fable about the farmer and his horse.

The older I get, the more I've come to appreciate the lesson behind it.

Life has a way of surprising you. Things that feel like setbacks sometimes end up leading to something better. Things that seem like great fortune don't always turn out the way you expected. And most of the time, we don't have nearly enough information in the moment to know which is which.

I've seen this play out in my work, with family, and in plenty of other parts of life. Looking back, some of the moments I worried about most ended up being far less significant than I thought, while other moments took me in directions I never could have predicted.

I think we can all benefit from holding our judgments a little more loosely.

When something happens, good or bad, maybe the most honest answer is the farmer's answer:

"Maybe."

Finally got the chance to make it over to @stellakenwood for dinner with the family. If you have a chance I absolutely recommend!!
