Noctua Rebrand Complete packaging rebrand of Noctua, a computer fan manufacturer in the enthusiast market. The newly redesigned brand will evolve the enthusiast market by embracing sustainability and technological innovation in packaging and communication. It will also allow users to enjoy a more intuitive building experience through functional and efficient design. The packaging solution of cardboard stacking uses cardboard for both fitting and protection. Each layer of BC, C, and E flute sheets can be designed in a unique shape to fit complex forms while being 100% compostable. Gravity: Title Sequence In the film, Gravity, Dr. Ryan Stone is the sole survivor of a space debris avalanche. As she tries to make her way back to Earth under extreme physical conditions, she begins to hallucinate and starts to relive what life was like back on Earth. By using the framing device of a shift in reality, Ryan temporarily travels back to the memory of when she would aimlessly drive to work after losing her daughter. Through this brief flashback, Ryan now has the determination and strength to keep moving forward. It matches specific skin and hair types, skin conditions, preferences in ingredients, and personal goals. Cabin of Cycles 4x5.35" Zine Folds out to a 10.7x16" poster In the story, a farmer is startled by the presence of an intruder in his cabin. When he attempts to pursue the trespasser, he unwittingly passes through a series of doors that propel him into an alternate reality. As the chase unfolds, a startling revelation occurs: the farmer is pursuing himself. This discovery leads to the realization that he is trapped in a time loop, endlessly chasing and being chased in a surreal, cyclical sequence of events. "In every chase we find ourselves, but can we escape our past?" The design for the cover features perspective typography that mirrors the story's chase through endless corridors. Rocket Lab Redesign - Process For this project, I wanted to experiment with using 3D software to create 2D imagery. Logo animations, motion posters, 3D transitions, and digital devices were all created using Blender's real-time rendering engine, Eevee. Pinhole Camera Project For this humanities class, we were tasked to create a pinhole camera: a simple camera made from a light-tight box with a small hole on one end. When light passes through the hole, an image is projected onto the opposite wall of the box. One of the biggest challenges with the camera is keeping it light-tight. With my experience in packaging design, I designed a custom box with a clamshell design. When the two halves slide into one another, they cover the entire focal length making light impossible to leak through. A shutter covers the pinhole with a flap on one side, making it easy to open and close the shutter. Mother: Title Sequence The movie "Mother" by Bong Joon-ho is about an over-controlling mother-and-son relationship. Yoon, the son is always being controlled and watched by his mother. For the sequence, "suffocation" was used as a framing device to visualize the control Yoon’s mother has over him. His mother is so controlling to the point where it’s suffocating for him. Her unwillingness to let go of control eventually leads to chaos and violence that comes back to haunt her.
