POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

a few words from me...

I've always been rather quiet on this account when it comes to expressing my thoughts and feelings. My way of telling stories has always been through pictures, capturing moments, emotions and the people behind them. Sometimes I share pictures, most of the times I dont.
But especially after this season, I feel like it's time to put some of my feelings into words.

Looking back on this journey, I feel incredibly grateful to have been part of it. Getting to know these women over the years I've been with the Pioneers - many of them I consider friends - and witnessing their growth, their joy but also the downsides that being an athlete brings. Everything they've achieved has been an absolute privilege for me to see.

What amazes me most is not just the talent and dedication, but the opportunities, the friendships and the sense of belonging sport creates. Being able to witness that firsthand is the reason why I do this.

I've been asked many times why I mostly focus on women in sports. My answer is simple: why not? Just as I've gravitated towards photography and the Pioneers, I've found my way to the Amazons. The dedication, the passion and the sacrifices are undeniable, yet the recognition, opportunities and support are not where they should be.

And that's what makes me want to say this, not just to the Amazons, but to every woman out there playing sports, chasing dreams or finding her own way: BE YOU. BE BOLD. BE HAPPY. Don't let the noise around you dictate who you are or what you can achieve. The world isn't always an easy place, especially when you're challenging expectations or breaking barriers, but you deserve to take up space, to be heard, to be celebrated and, above all, to be yourself.

I can't speak for everyone, but I can speak for the Amazons. This is a space where you belong, where you are supported, where you can grow and, most importantly, where you can be yourself. And that's something worth protecting.

I'll always be cheering you on.

xoxo
