Quick update on Hapa’s: WE’RE APPROVED BY THE HEALTH DEPT! 🎊 🎉

We got this news a couple weeks ago and so far the rest of the permit process is going smoothly—hoping for THE big update sooner rather than later!

We had a contractor walk-thru on site last week with our project lead Steve Kilgannon and we’re lining everything up to push ahead once we get the final approval from the county.

We’ve been itching to start construction for so long, we’re so excited for how close we are!! Mahalo and please continue sending good vibes our way! 🤙🏻 by @hapasmainland

The permitting process has officially begun!! 😭🙏🏻🎉We submitted our architectural plans and menus to the health department yesterday! This is a huge step forward, and hopefully means we’ll have permits to start construction before the end of the summer, god willing 🤞🏻 We’re absolutely stoked and can’t wait to bring y’all along for the ride ❤️ by @hapasmainland

We’re so excited for our developing cocktail program, spearheaded by beverage manager @timmcmillian! He created an absolutely stellar menu for our investors to try. Pictured here is our clarified rum punch, banana old fashioned, and a legendary tiki crowd pleaser: the Mai Tai!

The people make the party 🌺 Thank you to our investors and guests who came this past Sunday to sample what’s to come!

There are many more friends and neighbors that we want to be able to experience Hapa’s before the opening! Throughout the buildout this summer, we’ll be having more pop-ups like this one, trialing more dishes on our menu. We’ll keep you updated here on future Hapa’s “pop-ups” leading up to the big opening day!

Some pupus from our investor preview party last Sunday 🤙🏻 Crowd favs were the fried kampachi (Hawaiian amberjack), loomi salmon, George’s shoyu chicken, malasadas and the amazing Ora King salmon hand rolls! These bites are just a small sample of what we’ll be serving at the restaurant come opening day 🌺 A big mahalo to @hogislandoysterco for providing stellar oysters, and to Tino for showing out with his delicious nigiri, hand rolls and sushi rolls!

We’ll be showing more glimpses of the event throughout this week, leading up to some big updates on the project! Stay tuned!

Happy 4th everyone! 🇺🇸 We celebrated a little early by working at the awesome fireworks show Windsor Kaboom 🎆! It’s hard not knowing what the future holds for our country, but the togetherness felt yesterday watching and enjoying the fireworks as a community felt healing. Whatever comes, focusing on our local community and the joy found there will play a huge part ❤️ taken in Windsor Kaboom by @hapasmainland

We got in some hapu’upu’u (Hawaiian sea bass) several weeks ago and it was 🔥 An absolutely beautiful cut of fish, and even better with a frozen painkiller 🐟 🍹
