POSTS STORIES REELS

This morning, we meditated and stretched and set the tone for the day with sound, stillness, and intention. 🌅

I’ll be hosting Pop-Up Meditations all summer long across the city. Tap in, breathe deep, and stay aligned. 💫

Tomorrow, I’m opening the doors of Hybrid Studio Hyde Park and inviting you to experience **Return to Center**: one intentional hour of guided meditation, grounding breathwork and an immersive crystal singing-bowl sound bath.

Choose the moment your spirit needs:

✨ 10:30 AM — Morning Renewal
✨ 1:30 PM — Midday Reset
✨ 4:30 PM — Evening Release

Tickets are **$30 per guest**, and space is intentionally limited.

Please bring your own yoga mat and blanket so you can settle in comfortably. No meditation experience is necessary; come as you are.

Reserve your moment of peace through the link in our bio or visit:

Chicago stories deserve more than one narrative.

We’re creating more stories that show the Chicago we know, not just the Chicago people think they know.

Now we’re inviting a few Chicago small businesses and business owners to sponsor those stories and connect their businesses to the work.

The first round is limited to 5 to 6 sponsors, with opportunities starting at $250.

We’re closing this round September 25.

If your business believes in showing up for Chicago kids, send us a DM.

Let’s disrupt the algorithm together!

Lesson number 1: Disrupt the Algorithm…

There are stories all around you. Which ones are you paying attention to? Which ones are you choosing to share?

The only way to disrupt the algorithm is to put more of the things that we NEED to see into it.

More stories from Chicago kids loading…🔥

A month ago yesterday, I boarded a Boeing 767 back to New York from Ghana. I spent 10 days sinking my toes into the land; the sand, the soil, the grass, the culture. I ate Ghanaian jollof, fresh lobster, fresh crab, drank fresh coconut water, and then ate the meat. I drank Pinotage as if I was discovering red wine for the first time, and took Aphro shots with Ginger Beer hoping the Ghanian rum would activate my melanated superpowers. I communed with and venerated my ancestors. I prayed in the Assin Manso River. I danced in the Ocean and dipped my feet in Volta Lake. I bathed and cleansed my body and spirit in her water. I breathed and meditated in her air. I hugged her children. I planted my two feet in the motherland of all civilization. I walked paths that many endured that I’d be blessed with the gift of wings; so that I might fly back home - and I did. I left a trail of my fingerprints that span from Africa to America; so home knows that I returned to her and also, so I’ll be able to find my way back in the future. And now that it’s all said and done, she has expanded me. She left her fingerprints on my soul so I’d know that I as much belong to her as she to me. I am grateful to have gone back to the Genesis of time. My Sankofa trip. I am grateful for the expansion of my territory.

Always on my right. Sometimes it seems so cruel that the world would keep turning without you here. Miss you so much. 😢 by @hapidanielle
