Thank you to all who came out and joined us at the market. Thank you @tohonochul for hosting us and helping us on this annual event and to @southernarizonaclayartists for all the hard work it takes to herd potters and make us look good! I appreciate all the comments and purchases and loved seeing pottery friends. #potterymarketthanks #potterylife #ceramiclife #tucsonartists by @happilybecoming
While passing out candy to cute and scary tricker or treaters, I made some rabbit love hearts for upcoming markets. A past customer reached out because they’d broken one of these that his wife absolutely loved and asked for a replacement. 💔 Local artists at your call to fill your heart with love. ❤️ #heartdish #rabbit #trinketdish #ceramics #pottery by @happilybecoming
My cats are quick learners! The white image is for my business card. Should I use the same one on my booth banner or change it up and let the apprentice out? Potters, should I make t-shirts with this image? Would you wear one? #linoprint #pottery #artbiz #studiolife #catlovers @diamondcoretools @cranfieldcolours @flexcut.tools @drawingstudioaz @tucsonclaycoop by @happilybecoming

Introducing our next artist, Happily Becoming! Pottery has flowed in and out of Lisa’s life ever since she was a kid, growing up in a community of potters. From those first wobbly pots to her current collection of functional pottery, Lisa continued to hone her craft, and when it was time to pick a business name, she simply thought about how she feels when she’s creating, and thus: Happily Becoming was born. She often works in sgraffito, carving cheerful folk-style cats and birds enjoying their desert garden, which supports one of her other lifelong mediums - carving linoleum! Her work invites a sense of joy, from glazes reminiscent of our monsoon skies to her latest set of prints, a band composed of desert critters called The Mischievous Cats & the Tricksters🐈We love that Lisa incorporates FUN into her practice, and whether you snag a mug for morning coffee or an art print for your wall, you’ll absolutely be delighted by her collection. Meet Lisa alongside the rest of our awesome makers at Desert Air Market on November 14th from 11 am to 5 pm! #tucsonevents #tucsonlocal #tucsonmarket #tucsonevents #tucsonlove by @happilybecoming
