You’re one of those friends who makes the good times even better, the crazy times even crazier, and the tough times a little easier. I’m so grateful for all the laughs, memories, adventures and everything we’ve shared over the years.

Wednesday’s at its absolute best in Cape Town. 🌊⛵️☀️

I honestly can’t believe I get to call this a Wednesday… sailing, sunshine, sunset, good people and that feeling of being exactly where you’re meant to be. 💙 ⛵️

Life lately has me feeling seriously grateful despite the amount of stress and pressure I have endured. Super blessed to live in this beautiful city and have moments like these. ✨

Then, almost without warning, life reminded me just how fragile it all is. 🤍 😥

I am still struggling to comprehend the news that Stuart’s life has ended far too soon. ❤️‍🩹

We may not have been especially close in recent years, but some people become important not through frequency, but because they change the trajectory of your life.

Stuart was one of those people for me.

When I felt overwhelmed by life and work, and afraid to commit to my first ultra-marathon—a trail ultra, nogal 🏃‍♀️⛰️—he lent me his belief when my own was wavering.

He told me that life and work would always get in the way, but I should not let that stop me from doing something extraordinary.

Because of that conversation, I found the courage to enter. Because Stuart believed I was capable of more than I thought I was, I became an ultra-runner. 💪

That is an extraordinary legacy to leave in another person’s life. ✨️

A single conversation. A few encouraging words. One person choosing to believe in another.

Sometimes, that is all it takes to alter the course of a life. 🕊️

Thank you, Stuart, for seeing something in me before I could fully see it in myself, and for encouraging me to take on something extraordinary.

I’m going to miss you, buddy. I was really looking forward to sharing more adventures with you in the mountains. 🏔️💔

Your belief became part of who I am. That is the legacy you leave with me. ❤️

Not often I get this excited about a marathon weekend… especially one I wasn’t even entered in. 🧡🏃‍♀️
But this weekend at the #CapeTownMarathon was something really special.
Showing up for friends. Chosen family. Standing on street corners for hours cheering people on. Watching strangers encourage strangers. Witnessing people dig deep through pain, emotion, exhaustion and still somehow finding the courage to keep moving forward.
And honestly… as a runner myself, I know how much those cheers matter when you’re struggling.

This weekend was full of all of it: ☕ Fabulous coffee 🥐 Biscuit croissants 🥂 Mimosas 🌶️ Spicy margaritas 📣 Loud cheering 🧡 Big emotions 🏃‍♂️ Incredible humans.

We also got to witness history in the making — elite runners absolutely flying across African soil, with the marathon record broken in an unbelievable 2:05. And seeing the GOAT himself, Eliud Kipchoge, in person!
It reminded me again why marathon culture is so special. It’s never just about running. It’s about community, resilience, spirit, support, and people showing up for each other.
So proud of every single runner who showed up and pushed through. What a beautiful memory to hold onto. 🧡

First ultra marathon: DONE 🏃‍♀️

Tough doesn’t even begin to cover it — but wow, what an experience.

So proud and honoured to share this race with David and Julia - from injuries and DNFs to smashing PBs together! And to every single person who showed up (in person and virtually)

Last weekend was Cango Caves Marathon.
This weekend… I found was support crew for the incredible Calling Cape Town Challenge.
And honestly, we underestimated the magnitude of this event.
🏊‍♀️ 8km Robben Island swim
🚴‍♂️ 109km Cape Cycle Tour
🏃‍♂️ 50km Three Peaks trail run
All done to raise funds for a children’s charity.
Watching this unfold from the sidelines reminded me of a few things about resilience:
• Extraordinary things rarely happen in isolation. Behind every athlete pushing limits is a community quietly holding the line.
• Purpose changes the equation. When the mission is bigger than the discomfort, people go further than they thought possible.
• Sometimes the most powerful role you can play is simply showing up to support others.
It was an absolute privilege to witness the grit, determination, and heart behind this challenge. I’m incredibly proud of our friends who took it on — true champions. 👏🏆
