It’s official… I’ll start my doctoral studies this fall and will be Dr. Harris-Alexander in a couple short years! 🥳🥹💅🏻🙌🏻 🍾

A few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to marry someone who makes me smile until I can’t anymore, laugh until I cry, and grow until I reach the sky. After 5 years of love, I cannot imagine my life without you, @why_it_tho (lol at the username). To our love and every day it continues to flourish!

Even if we did plan this in a month because we wanted to avoid any setbacks for our rights - after our year anniversary of engagement, I’m glad we didn’t wait any longer. HUGE SHOUTOUT to those in our lives that were so willing to help out and make the small ceremony so amazing! A special shoutout to @brekynfife for marrying us and making it that much more special ❤️

We also want to have all our loved ones join the love with laughs, hugs, and fun sometime in June! Keep an eye out for a save the date. We will have a casual stop-in party for anyone interested in celebrating us!

If you can imagine, I’m smiling so big that you can see every detail of my eye because I am fully vaccinated (both shots & antibodied up w/ Pfizer bb) and I feel a little weight release with hope for a bright future for us all 💖

So, I warned y’all of my heart-felt post discussing my whole year year as student body president of @weberstate Here it goes:
SOOO much happened and I can’t possibly explain the joy and fulfillment this last year provided me.
Every bit of serving in this role has brought life-time relationships. It has brought the highest accolades of my life. I am forever grateful the people and experiences I was able to have.
I tried REALLY (really, really, really) hard to find the best pictures that captured EVERYONE that made my last year of WSUSA a hoot and holler. Alas, I did not succeed. HOWEVER, I highly recommend you enjoy the picture till the end because it highlights one of the individuals that saved my life: @taraperis
It’s already long, but I’m just going to say 3 more things: - Weber State University’s community, staff, faculty, alumni, and so many others genuinely care about students’ success. I’m not just saying that because I work there now. I have to give a special shout out to @brettperozzi and @bmort19 for mentoring me this year and seriously considering the student perspective EVERY step of the way. -The Executive Board, President’s Cabinet, and USA Board gave me skills and friends I didn’t know I needed. These roles have changed my life forever. It was the best experience of my life serving with each and every one of these individuals (pictures also included) - however, @jonsey_rilee, WSUSA social media expert, and @themasoqueso, SLCC student body president, are not in their prospective pictures) -I couldn’t tag all of you because Instagram only allows 20, but know I tried (ask @wyattleath). I have appreciate all of your feedback, support, and hugs - sorry if I ever hugged you and you didn’t like it.

Just a life update! - I started to apply for full-time jobs! - I moved to SLC 🏙
- I will am finishing up my 2nd semester of grad school (and LOVING IT) - I have 2 months left as Student Body President, and I am so grateful for my year and the people I’ve met. I am beyond honored to serve with and for WSU students, faculty, and staff after 5 incredible years in WSUSA.

After the past few months, I’ve found someone who is profoundly supportive, compassionate, and articulate. I always doubted that someone would have these traits while also being into me 😂 Meet Wyatt, y’all!
We attended the Allies Gala together last Saturday and after Homecoming last night, he sealed the deal and became my True Wildcat. After 5 Homecomings, I’m so grateful to have had my first True Wildcat kiss be him. 💜 by @happybret
